Modified image or not, it makes way too much sense. In my prediction I've also put Cervantes in a vertical opposition to Ivy, Voldo in a horizontal opposition to Yoshimitsu and of cause Astaroth in a horizontal opposition to Maxi. Inferno in the center was also one of my predictions. Yet it never occured to me to put Mi-na in a vertical opposition to Hwang while keeping both in the far left column (even though I predicted both characters to be in). That positioning is really smart. What stopped me was the assumption that the bottom left slot has to be for CaS, but now that I think about it, CaS can actually occupy the mysterious white dot even more to the left instead. The quoted picture puts Talim on the far left as well, Raphael makes it in, because we have an additional slot thanks to moving away CaS, his position on the left, but closer to the center makes perfect sense. Azwel being in the center makes sense since he is a bad guy who thinks of himself as some kind of a saviour (and also posesses both red and blue magic). Lizardmen's position makes sense too (same where I put him). The only questionable inclusion is Tira being in the main roster, since we now know she is DLC. Does being a "bonus" part of the season pass excuses occupying a base slot? I wonder.

It probably just means Project Soul plans to reveal him dead last one day before the game is released.

If the 4chan leak is true and so Raph, Lizzy, Hwang and Cervy are the last character, i'll put Hwang in the right of Taki, Cervy above Ivy and right to Night, Lizzy above Xiangh,and Finally Raph in the right of Groh.
 
I saw somewhere that people have seen the select screen in early july i think, they said that Voldo was next to Taki and Talim below Geralt. I think that it would be good for Talim (since i thought she would oppose her, but our bird of death is DLC), but i think I understand Voldo, maybe Aswel is next to Grøh?

Is this legit? Because having a bonus DLC character in the base roster feels a bit sad :O

Btw, who do you think Azwel is talking to when he says "Accept this from me, my love!" ?
 
When Cervy gets revealed I want an ultra-pirate-y voice. I will accept nothing less. If he does not say "avast once i will be disappointed.
Also, I feel like Tira is possibly going to do a damp and take up a slot. That would suck. Azwel should be next to groh.

Tira will be in the game day, just locked in someway, usually those kind of stuff are pre-order bonus but for Tira's case it's special, you have to own the pass (don't know if this has been done before). So in the end of the day she's still in base roster, just that you need to pay extra money to get, just like pre-order characters like Darkseid in Injustice 2 and such.

That's why I'm wondering... However I don't think she's got her spot saved, since she wasn't supposed to be finished by the time the game went gold? I really don't know what to think of it. But well, she can take a slot... As long as she leaves one for Raph xD

Thank you for being the first person who actually agrees with my positions. I really can't imagine other ways making as much sense as this way. I say Tira is on the base roster because she is like Dampierre was in SoulCalibur V, available from the start yet paid DLC. Tira is free with season pass, and Dampierre was free if you preordered from Best Buy. But you can also just buy them standalone.
 
Do people really think they still didn't decided who the DLC character will be and didn't already started working in them?

I don't think they were started back when the Azwel leak happened, but they may have started working on them by now. They should at least know who they are.

I will not say Okubo lied about Tira's case, far from that, i think he was totally honest and all, but he formulate her case in a way where he can says things.

For me what i get from what he said was quite simple. She was planned to be in the launch roster since the start, but then they realise they are going a bit above of the budget they fixed for themselves, so then they had to make a choice about how to handle this, they end up choosing that DLC bonus thing, and pick Tira for that,if that wasn't Tira it would've been another character.

Also if they go full NRS they can put Azwel as Unlockable character after beating Story mode, while also give ability to buy him as DLC, just like Brainiac in Injustice 2. Personally wouldn't mind if they do thing like this,i actually would love to have some Unlockable characters in the game.

One of the reason i think Capcom revealed already G and Sagat is that as some leaks said, including yours there may be 2 other characters to be revealed during saison 3 and will be available for free.
 
Btw, it seems like Azwel's Japanese name is アズウェル, and Grøh's master name is オーズル.

Azwel isn't Grøh's master, but he could be his father ^^

I'll try my best to write a summary, but if people want the information verbatim, then here's all the information I copied and pasted which seemed relevant: https://pastebin.com/raw/7j2JJQnU (sorry, this is not super organized. I also included links to the relevant threads but note those links are not SFW as there's pictures of borderline pornography and some offensive language)

There were 3 threads which 2 different leakers posted in. The first guy didn't make many posts at all. He claimed the remaining characters (as of June) were:
  • Seung Mina
  • Talim
  • Tira
  • Voldo
  • Astaroth
  • Azwel
  • Cervantes
  • Raphael
  • Lizardman
  • Hwang
He later clarifies he's not sure if Hwang is in since he can't find any narrator strings for him. And he claims he's worked on localization for the game. He also says he thinks create-a-soul is back, and he notes that some characters fight a lot of generic enemies (Taki fights a lot of Fuma clan people, Sophitia fights Malfested enemies, Yoshimitsu and Voldo fight a lot of "mooks"). He also said he doesn't think Cassandra is in the game but she has a cameo during Sophitia's story mode.

And then there's guy number two who posted a LOT in two different threads. I initially thought this could be the same as the above guy, but looking through more posts, they definitely are not. The second guy mainly talked a lot about Libra of Souls mode (he never mentioned it by name, only as "the create a fighter adventure mode"). Here's a bunch of stuff he mentioned:
  • Lizardman is not playable, though you can make custom lizardmen.
  • Says he doesn't think Cassandra is in the game.
  • There's a create-a-soul adventure mode where you travel between different nodes doing quests and there's an item shop.
  • You get XP and money for doing side quests and some "fanservice cameo stuff."
  • At the start of the adventure mode, Zasalamel tells you that you're cursed by the Evil Seed and you must roam the world to close dimensional shifts created by Soul Edge.
  • You team up with Maxi and Mitsurugi early in the adventure mode.
  • There's one NPC who looks like they could be Talim's sister (looks much older than Talim).
  • You unlock Inferno by beating the story mode.
  • Says there's a new character who is an "evil wizard guy." (he said this as a reply to a random statement by someone describing the look of the "wizard guy" and that Inferno is a mimic, so I guess there's a third leaker amongst all of this? Or maybe he doubleposted.)
  • He lists the entire roster (this is the big list I posted some weeks ago), which is the same as the one Azwel guy posted except this one adds Inferno, and has no Lizardman or Hwang. And he mentions Azwel by name.
He said this as reply to someone asking if he was "that Azwel guy":


I should note that one of his earlier posts said that he doesn't think Seong Mi-na isn't in. But he also said he hadn't worked on the game for months so he couldn't remember all the character names (he said Cervantes, Astaroth, Raphael and some Chinese female character he couldn't remember the name of hadn't been announced yet), and he said he would look up the character names once he was able to at work so he could post about it (which eventually lead to that one big list he posted). I'm assuming the "Chinese" character he couldn't remember the name of was actually Seong Mi-na, and his original statement about Seong Mi-na probably not being in was an honest mistake.

Note that it's technically impossible to tell who is who in 4chan posts, so it's possible some random replies were fakes (though I only found one instance where someone had to go out of their way to say that a reply was someone impersonating him). And I wanna emphasize all of these posts were made back in June and July, that's before Azwel, Seong Mi-na, Astaroth, and other reveals. Both of these leakers haven't been wrong about any of the revealed characters so far (their lists are also nearly identical except for Hwang and Lizardman).

One interesting things is that both never talked about DLC ever. Both listed Tira, but they didn't seem to be aware she was DLC (at least they never mentioned it). And never they said anything about who the other DLC characters are.

There are two more posts I might as well mention, but I don't think these two posts were made by either of the above guys. Both of these posts were part of a reply chain where leaker #2 eventually started saying stuff.

This mainly looks like a compilation of stuff said by Vergeben (and the first Azwel leaker), so I think this is just someone repeating information rather than someone who's actually leaking. Edit: This post is confirmed to have been done by a random guy, and not any of the leakers (the image originates from a post on 8wayrun).

Post 2:

Leaker #2 replied to this message and said "he's right i'm afraid". But leaker #2 never said anything about ever knowing any DLC details, so it's possible he thought that message was right because he hasn't seen any details about her being part of the game, but he does know she's part of the Sophitia's story mode.

... Aaaaaaaand that's it! It's unfortunate it's impossible to verify who's who on 4chan as that makes it hard to trust every single post which looks to be by the same guy, and it makes it so much harder to parse all of this stuff. But I think it's extremely clear both of these guys are legit leakers. The first guy mentioned Azwel by name and he'd be the luckiest person in the world if he randomly guessed that name. The second guy mentions so many specific details about Libra of Souls mode which makes him even more believable (I should note what he said about Zasalamel being in the introduction of Libra of Souls mode matches up with one of the screenshots Namco released).

Very nice work.

Still It's like the shorter list is ok with the first build 21 slots (center slot included) and story mode screen (20character minus inferno)

But E3 build had 3 additionnal slots + a random case.

- worst case : its the 3 other DLC slots
- best case : They added characters by delaying the launch for 4months, like I heard about from close source to Namco

Question is : who?
Even the leakers who worked on localisation can't know at this point.

- Popular char? (Cassandra?)
- Initally cutted char? (Hwang, Liz?)
- New char? (Dark woman?)

Guess we will have to wait until the last days...
 
@Hayate @Sectus I don't even think Hwang and Lizardman were cut, honestly. Seong Mi-na's bio mentioned Hwang from the start, as soon as she was posted to Soul Archive JP, so that clued us in that he was likely to be included, and Lizardman was blatantly shown off during the E3 story trailer. I think it's more along the lines that the two leak posts are two different people, and the second post was just by someone who doesn't believe that Hwang and Lizardman would make the cut, because of various reasons like have been echoed around here. Myself, I've never doubted them for even a moment, and will smile when they are finally revealed, which in my mind is a certainty.
