Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

All Alexandra's are boring. =/
Cassandra would be another sword and shield character with generic Soul Charge.

I have my priorities.

1 - Gameplay
2 - Design
3 - Personality / Story

No prob !
I always had a crush for Cassy . My opinion isn’t neutral aha

Never though about who would be my fav Alexendra, i guess it's tie between Sophie and Cassie, maybe i like Cassie a bit more for her personality that i fail to describe but i guess you know what i mean lol, like "drove into the pile ". Sophitia may ... maybe ... win... when... she has her SC3 2P outfit.

Patroklos right after, i think he's cool too and quite unique as well with interesting gameplay.

Then lastly Pyrrah, she is not really a bad character, thing is that she looks like Cassie and plays like Sophie, i mean i think Namco should have done a girl that while looks like a daughter of sophie, but should have made her more unique, just like with Patroklos that is really unique. It's even worse with Leixia cause she looks even more like X and plays like X, it's like Younger X with new haircut lol, like i mean we get it it's her daughter but c'mon. Another thing to consider is that it's very easy for casuals to confuse between Pyrrah and Cassandra. Pyrrah is basically cassie without her badass attitude with Sophie like gameplay, say what you want about Patty but at least he doesn't look like anyone in the game, he has an attitude like anyone in the game, and play like anyone in the serie.

Since we're ranking Alexandra's here's my list from best to worst Cassandra, Sophitia, Pyrrha, Rothion, Lucius, Achelous, Nike, (insurmountable wall), Zeus's mistake

Well, actually, she lost her husband and children (And, yes, she had a husband with children), and then she was sold into slavery.

Pyrrha was never married and never had children. She was tricked and sold into slavery by Dampierre but was saved by a nobleman, who hired her to work for him as a servant. They later fell in love and he proposed to her, but was murdered that same night (by Tira) and Pyrrha was arrested for his murder.

Sure, Pyrrha's personality makes sense with her backstory, but you can have a tortured, sad character without making them all kinds of pathetic. There are plenty characters (usually men) with very similar backgrounds that the writers decided to take the cold and hardened approach with. Would've been interesting if that's where they went with Pyrrha. Though she'd probably be the emotionless piece of cardboard those characters usually wind up being. Because Bamco.

I love that picture. Also, I realized that Sophie is a pretty terrible mother like Tira said. She really didn't defend her children or even leave them in the care of someone trustworthy. It would have been kinda cool if she left them with Taki and they grew up as her sidekick ninjas, they would end up having so much in common with Setsuka.

Wasn't Sophitia's fault, Pyrrha was malfested and couldn't live without the presence of Soul Edge. After Siegfried destroyed Nightmare and Soul Edge disappeared, Pyrrha started dying and Sophi was forced to cut out a shard of Soul Edge deeply embedded in her own chest and implant it in Pyrrha to save her life. Sophi died shortly after.

Imagine this, they show a trailer at TGS and the character select screen is shown. The players begin to pick their chars and everyone notices that Raphael and Cervantes are there as well as Tira, Hwang, Lizardman, and Inferno in the 'small circle' locations. One of them goes to the bottom of the screen and then hits down one more time to reveal a whole other row of characters.

Setsuka, Hilde, Cassandra, Rock, and Amyiola are all shown in portraits... and then in the middle of the character select...

...Dampierre
