That's not a bad idea, but... daily!? That seems a bit excessive. I wouldn't want Okubo's twitter feed to be too spammy.

im totally for a guess character that attracts more people to the game, i prefer 2B but if they manage to get someone else with equally or more popular than 2B im all in for it. i just want that the game sells well so that Bamco gives SC the respect it deserves.

If we can't have Setsuka as DLC, I would like to have Vergil using Yamato myself. It's probably closest we'll ever get to her.
 
I think that sounds legit.
However, I'm hoping we do get Setsuka. Like, I really hope Project Soul learned their lesson about what happens when they replace characters with someone else with a similar but different style.😬
Plus if Setsuka gets replaced, this'll be the second time she gets burned that way.

Holy shit! My girl Setsuka is capable of all this? Thank y'all for keeping an old lady entertained and inspired this afternoon. I shall have my "children" Android 38, Android 57 and Setsuka Junior get to practicing those crazy combos. After seeing those montages, somehow this is going to be kind of similar to mastering Fox in Super Smash Bros. Melee...

Glad to know I am not the only one here praying immensely for my favorite female swordsman. I would not mind paying to have extra characters like her on the game. Or at least give us her sexy kimono from SC3 as a CaS part. If they announce none of this, oh well, I shall do the next best thing: playing as Taki since her style recently appealed to me anyway...

i recommend it, the game is good and its huge content wise, when you get to Kaer Morhen in game you have to do the quest were Geralt goes and talks with his friends and starts drinking that's all i will say about the quest, its just a hilarious quest if you pick the right choices of course.

IMO because Marvel's most popular characters have been done to death, Marvel is owned by Disney and Disney is Tyranny when it comes to their IP's. There was a rumor floating about that Disney/Marvel told Capcom to make sure that the Capcom cast don't outshine the Marvel cast both in looks and presence and this is on top of the fact that Disney/Marvel were using the cross over fighter with Capcom as an advertising arm for their upcoming new movies. Yeah no thanks, somethings are just not worth the hassle or risk for Soul Calibur.

We are doomed.
Definitely the initial roster was not representative of final launch roster. They only said that because in the end we would get even less characters considering some circles on the roster were not supposed to be for characters but a for CaS characters and another one for random choice.

Not only that but one character (Tira) being sold as Day One DLC... they even put her as one of the Jokers. Imagine they also cut Zasalamel and Yoshimitsu being the other 2 DLC characters? It would be a normal thing for Bamco considering all they have done lately xD

Not funny at all Bamco.

As much as I would like this to be a joke it seems an undeniable truth. It seems Bamco really wants to kill this franchise.
If they follow this path they will succeed.

Here's my attempt. They'll have a huge presentation at TGS announcing all of the following:
  • Lizardman and Hwang are officially announced as characters for the base roster! ... But they're both mimics.
  • The full season pass is finally revealed: Tira, Raphael, and Cervantes, with Jar Jar Binks as guest character.
  • A new game mode is revealed: Gacha Pachislo simulator! You beat up a gigantic Pachislo machine until it falls over. Afterwards, you'll get a prompt to pay 20 USD in exchange for a loot box. The loot box has a 10% chance to give you CaS armour pieces and 90% chance to give you Voldo or Olcadan fanart.
  • They proudly announce the next project for Project Soul. They'll be assigned to work on a huge, new season pass. This season pass will add new costumes for every character, additional stages, and a ton of characters: Amy, Setsuka, Cassandra, Hwang, Lizardman, Viola, Hilde, and Li Long. This season pass will be for Tekken 7.
  • At the end of the presentation, Harada will step forward and present a speech. His entire speech consists of him laughing maniacally for 10 minutes straight. You can still hear him laughing as he walks off stage.
  • A few days later, 8warun.com will be shut down as no one is visiting the site anymore due to losing all hope in the SC franchise.
So, if I have this as expectation, then literally anything will be positive news.

You realize these games aren't made just for hardcore, fundamentalist SC Fans?

I for one would not mind seeing Dora Milaje for example. I think there are better guests for sure, but if they are thinking of reaching more casual gamers, it might be wise to think more broadly as they had done with Star Wars.
 
I know everyone wants their favourite SC characters in the game, but I'm full-stop against them being put in as DLC.

We need to try our absolute best to not convince Bandai Namco that doing such is a viable business approach, otherwise we'll be setting a dangerous precedent for future games.

I would rather all the DLC be guests, unless they do a Tekken and offer up a few at the beginning of each season, in addition to the guests.

A little too late for that.
 
It would really suck if SC6 had to be de-listed from digital stores because of licensing. Obviously it wouldn't happen in the next few years, but maybe we'll still want to play this game in 2025 or something. Hopefully CD Projekt is good about this sort of thing.

Every other fighting game on the market already set that precedent.
