Still, I’d think we need more Libra gameplay. Regardless I think it’s a step up from the latest incarnations of the big names.

The lack of characters, stages, and alts is a bit disappointing but I’d rather enjoy what we have and not have it feel like we’re just trying to support the series so it won’t die.

Likewise. while i'm disappointing by the roster size at least the people that are there are actually worthy of being there. Even Groh and Garry look promising, the only mystery here is Azwel... tbh though I am just trying to support the series so it won't die, i almost never buy day 1, let alone pre order, let alone buy the season pass before the content is revealed... luckily SC holds a special place in my heart and I can at least justify it.

I agree. I don't think there's much point revealing them at all at this point. I'm staying optimistic for at least Hwang at TGS along with the remaining game mode.

your optimism is admirable. It's tragic that cervantes and raphael got leaked so early. It's killed the anticipation. Then again, they would have been leaked early regardless because of the damn playing cards!!!
 
well there has to be some news coming
they still have another game mode to reveal, they have two stages to reveal, they have cervy and raph to reveal, they could show more detail about libra of souls, they could show more detail about CaS. Unless they're doing a BIG show at TGS there has to be SOMETHING
 
There's no way there's gonna be a big show at TGS. Namco has other games to show off too. I can see them showing off the game modes there if they haven't already revealed the leaked two by then
 
It might would make sense if they revealed one more DLC character before launch. They do have one more slot to fill before then.

Pretty much agreed right there. You think Okubo would get annoyed by that shit if he saw that every day (I think he kinda does). I get there’s a large number of fans pushing for Setsuka to be in SCVI, but something like that is ridiculous and annoying.
 
Unfortunately it seems like they're pushing SCVI off to the side at TGS with just a trailer as opposed to Tekken 7, which has something going on with a livestream and a stage announcement (probably official footage of Negan).
 
To be fair tekken is a finished product while soulcalibur is yet to be released. I don’t see why they would do a livestream especially when there isn’t much left to show

Here's my attempt. They'll have a huge presentation at TGS announcing all of the following:
  • Lizardman and Hwang are officially announced as characters for the base roster! ... But they're both mimics.
  • The full season pass is finally revealed: Tira, Raphael, and Cervantes, with Jar Jar Binks as guest character.

I think you underestimate how popular Jar Jar Binks as a guest character could be in the right franchise. People would pay top dollar for JJB to appear in MK for example.

Lizardman is one of the few characters I could also see working as a mimic as multiple different types of people became lizard people and it is highly doubtful that all of those lizards knew how to use the same type of sword/shield/axes/etc...
