Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Just like how Rock is mentioned and Hwang is implied.
I didn't say Amy would be playable, just confirming we'll see her in Raphael's story. She doesn't become a fighter until after SoulCalibur II, so it's not feasible that she would be playable in SoulCalibur VI.

@fjaoaoaoao -- We don't know Amy's age at all, as Amy or as Viola, it's always been a mystery. She has a growth spurt since she's notably smaller in the SoulCalibur II opening versus how she is playable in SoulCalibur III/IV, and again with Viola of course, but if I'm betting, I'd say she looks like SoulCalibur II opening Amy in her appearance here in SoulCalibur VI, would make the most sense. She looks... about 10 years old? Maybe, no one really knows.

Was Rock's name actually used? I was wondering if this was the first time any of the potential characters were specifically called out. Makes me think she won't become playable, at least as the Amy we know.

Nah, it called him the "White Giant", just as Hwang is referred to all but by name talking about a student of Han-myeong, a member of the coast guard, etc., so Amy would be the first to be called out just by name.

@DanteSC3 @fjaoaoaoao I think SC II intro showed Amy at the time she met with Raphael during "Evil Seed" (SC I), she appears looks like 8/9 years old, but in SC III-IV she must be about 12 years old. That would explain why she grew so much.

What, Ralph's in the game!

What is Amy's age in SC3? What would be her age range in the known SC6 timeline?
Amy's age has always been listed as "unknown".

Wielding a Rapier, Raphael is a medium to long distance fighter with plenty of thrusting and vertical attacks to overwhelm the opponent with his range and speed.

His special "Preparation" stance can now be retreated with backward movement which will now go into the new "Aerial Shift" stance, this new "Aerial Shift" stance provides a solid but elegant base for Raphael to set-up his hit-and-run tactics during a battle.

There are also exclusive maneuvers that Raphael can perform that allows him to evade unblockable and break attack attempts from the opponent during the use of his attacks and Reversal Edge.

Raphael's ability to catch opponents moving towards the side can be on the weaker side but Raphael can be described as a technical character that can overcome any opponent if you make the best use of his strong points.

oof.

"can be on the weaker side" isn't like a 4/10.

Naive me thinks that means he got his horizontals buffed.

I'm really hoping I can actually enjoy playing as him again. In SC3, I had no problems, but in 4 and 5, I couldn't get the hang of him at all for some reason. Could only manage a small handful of effective moves.
