Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Can't believe they're dumb at that level to allow cas in Rank matches, pretty sure it's some high pr decision thing that don't understand the thing.

If it was up to Battle mechanics designers i'm sure their decision about this would make more sens and would be more wise.

nah i can see where they are coming from, they dont want to split the community that's the felling i get, but oh well we can't do anything about it i know i will be dogging any huge bongos and 1 color cas in ranked.

......

... Shame on me for doing this when we are so close to launch already, but... anybody got spoilers on Siggy's story? Was wondering if the Schwarzwind or Wolfkrone popped up at all... ^_____^ Just couldn't help but ask...
Got you covered Spanks. First, the dude who's stream i posted yesterday is gonna have another one today. Siegfried and Raphael stories are confirmed.
As for Wolf/Schwarz:

@Ardent
Thanks, bro! I appreciate the snippets... makes me even more excited to get this game now! Eeeeeeeeee!!!! :DDD
Siggy has always been my favorite character, so I'm excited to see earlier parts of his story arc revisited like this.

If they have 5 different size choices like in Soulcalibur 5 than there is at least 100 different hitboxes, plus with characters using Nightmare's style they will basically have phantom grab range without the monster arm equipped.

But doesnt that imply that there actually arent different hitboxes? If they gave a Nightmare CAS phantom grab, then that means they just use Nightmare's model for everything. Or am i not following your point?

No problem, glad i was able to share this. Sieg is also one of my mains and favorites so, i'm excited as heck too haha!! SCVI is the only fighter that piqued my interest in trying and maining the entire cast (i'm quite picky with the genre), everybody just feels so unique and complete, i know i'm in for a treat! ;D

Seriously can't wait for the game.
Extremely excited. I'm happy to be getting a fighting game that looks to offer good offline content and solid fighting mechanics.
Though, I did want Legendary Souls or an alternative. It was a nice little "training" / warm up tool.
Spending time in practice mode will be enough but still. Regarding ranked, I know a few of us ran two saves on SCV, 1 for ranked 1 for player matches.
Usually to avoid being pointlessly kicked from lobbies for being high ranked or to avoid pointless messages about ranks post game.
Knowing me, I'll probably stick to small casual match lobbies. I found this was the most competitive area anyway, once you have a good lobby going.
Also, I'm not going to sleep well for the first few weeks after this game.

Seriously, why does anyone even like CaS?
People hated Star Wars characters in IV because they felt out of place in the Soulcalibur universe and Yoda's annoying hitbox.
People hated V because it replaced old cast with characters that had little to no personality and story.
Yet for some reason some Soulcalibur "fans" love CaS which allows them to basically replace the actual roster with characters that are out of place that have absolutely no story or personality and have annoying hitboxes.

please tell me you are joking

Alright so this thread has a lot of negativity let’s focus on the positives:
1. There’s a legendary mode for Arcade mode
2. Libra of the Soul has replay ability
3. It looks like we can use customized characters in most modes both off and online
4. A ton of lore in put into museum mode
5. There is an abundance of story content featuring every character ]

I like SoulCalibur's gameplay, but I never was interested in the cast, at all. I consider CaS mandatory. Because I always want to make my own characters and enjoy the gameplay with said characters. With each of them having their own story that I've made for them, its only natural that they replace the roster.

Not interested in Star Wars guests, or any character that the developers decide to make like Xiba.

You spoke very well @Darkmoonlight
Those points are worth mentioning more than once everytime the negativety (and above all the ungratefulness) kick in.

Ive never been huge on CaS. I prefer the actual cast of the game. But I enjoyed creating 1 or 2 characters in Soul Calibur 5, just for the fun of it... but for 6 in particular I like CaS because its the only way i can let myself believe I still have Lizardman lolz.
