Tbh they treated SCVI like that for a long time, which is fucking terrible.
Bamco really doesn't seem to believe in SC franchise (or probably don't even want to believe for some reason).

Since Namco became Bandai Namco it feels like they don't believe in anything outside of animes. Fortunately there are still great people like Okubo in that company though.

CaS still being in ranked just cements that, if the lag and disconnectors weren't enough, online and real competitive play don't go well together.
