Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Instead of races, I think we could have chosen body types and extras that can’t be broken.

We still got useless shit like Luffy’s hat and the Kittymeow costume.

Where are the circlets, pantyhose, and side skirts? A poor Cammy on a stream had to wear a Tyrolean Hat!

hmmmm.……….

can you not unlock more parts as you play the game?

All "locked" equipment is visible from the start. There are no secrets. What you see is what you get, and it isn't much.

Edit: For example, Project Soul brought back the gorgon helmet and death pauldrons, but not the rest of the armor sets.

I do question the presence of certain pieces of equipment over others. There are some that are just objectively better, whether it be because they're more versatile or just generally more aesthetically appealing. There's no excuse for having the Kittymeow and french maid equipment and not the Gorgon or Merveilleuse set, for example.
If it were a matter of prioritizing things because they had no chance of finishing every piece of equipment before the game released, then they should have made a lot of equipment way higher priority than a good chunk of what we got.
As I've said before, the upcoming equipment packs better have a lot of good stuff. I'll be pissed if I see any of the standard fetish nonsense in there. I need armor, not school uniforms and sexy nurses.

ah, I see. thanks. that's kind of disappointing.

Hmmm they should have realized players would expect at least the same amount of equipment from before. I definitely think making that race option was a pointless move. This isnt an RPG where there are stats and abilities to develop that actually matter.

Sure people demanded it but it wont matter if all you're doing is adding bunny ears, glowing tatoos, metal skin, etc. A good piece of clothing will go a lot farther for making unique characters rather than some elf ears.

To say nothing of the fact that many races limit your customization ever further, it really seems like a waste of time tbh.

I’m sure if SC was built with a wide number of races in mind it wouldn’t be an issue. But since 99% of the characters are human...

what about the outfits from the existing characters? are they available as CAS parts?

for example, if I wanted to give a female CAS Groh's outfit. can I do that?

I used to defend the notion of missing 2ps since we have custom options anyway. So its like "whats the point?" but if the items really are cut back it is no longer appropriate to have that opinion.

I remember hearing that they had the choice to either make alternate outfits or improve the customization. If they had chosen the former, who knows how further barren customization could have been.

Not sure about Grøh's own outfit, but there is a unisex Aval Organization outfit :)

And indeed, CaS choices are very very limited... either it's ugly, too generic, or simply the main cast's. They should really update that and even offer some outfits/pieces... (Gimme SCIV and SCV 1Ps and 2Ps!)
