They got me hype for a character I know almost nothing about, from a game I've never played.
AMAZING.
SF5 I'm pretty sure didn't do well because of the shitty launch they had, that thing killed all the hype the game could have had.
I don't see an entry for SFV Arcade Edition. There's SFIV, and Ultra SFVI. I wanted to see how this stands

I feel we would need much more than that to save the game.
A fortnite character. An overwatch character.
(Don't laugh, i've seen people asking for Mercy or Hanzo and i seriously wonder if it would work at that point.)
Or a battle royale mode.
The 2B reveal is a good thing for the game. Yes most fans would prefer a returning legacy characters but guest characters sell games. The timing is actually perfect because it should boost holiday sales which is when they stand to gain the most. DLC that comes toward the end of the season will probably have less of an effect on the overall game sales. So the way it's set up, there are 2 popular characters(Tira and 2B) that will help sell the season pass aswell as the initial game sales.
And honestly there's no sense in being mad that we got a guest character since we've known forever we were getting another guest character. The way some people react you'd think it wasn't said months ago.
I agree with you, but you can still compare numbers with other games on the same platform, and that's the problem cuz the game is doing fine but I would liked if it did better than Tekken just because Harada xDSteam is only one platform, which SC is new to. I wouldn't give Steam sales too much credence right now, especially when the platform is known for its discount sales.
Pretty sure PS has the largest SC community, so I would wait for those sales numbers to get a more accurate picture of how well the game is selling.
look, if 2B generates more interest in the game from outside the SC community, then I'm all for it.
especially if it means more sales for the game which in turn means greater longevity and support for the game, which in turn means more Season Passes with more characters (old and new) and more CAS parts, stages, etc.
the reality is that roster space for fighting games is finite. not every character is going to make it in and there's always the chance your favorite(s) won't make the roster. Which is why I want this game to do well and have long support so that they'll continue to add more characters to it.
I think it's important to note one thing: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-04-27-things-are-starting-to-look-up-for-steam-spyOkay but this is like a half of the sales, if you want more graphs i can get them... @EbrietasSs
Here are all Namco fighting games.
Because SCV made changes that were tone deaf to what the audience actually wanted, that's why it's more acceptable.Same way they are salty over anything else. If someone doesnt like something about the game
-characters, stages, costumes, online features, mechanics etc.
They will complain about it. Just like people complain about SC5 but it is apparently acceptable to do that because more people agree.
I still would've preferred Solaire from Dark Souls or Maria from Bloodborne over 2B.I’d still take 2B over Star Wars guests anyday, even if I don’t particularly care for her all that much.
This is a place filled with subhuman babies, you're asking for way too much.Be happy for those who got what they wanted, be happy it's a character that's going to attract more costumers. After all not everyone was going to be happy if it turned out to be another char anyways: Some won't care for Amy, some won't for Cass, some won't for Hwang, etc.
Some of my friends will buy the game now that 2B was announced, but at the same time... they will wait for a game of the year edition with all the DLC and a price drop... -_-
Well I know they aren't THAT competitive, they will most likely buy the game for solo content and some 1v1 local matchs xDWaiting to buy a fighting game for a long time is like asking "fuck my ass up real good the moment i get in to online mode" i suggest for you to tell them to lube up or Get Guud b4 they enter online.
