La-da-di-dum!
Game companies are not run by gamers or game passionates these days. They are run by marketers who are trying to squeeze as much money from the audience as possible. They assume people will buy their product regardless, since video games are such a commodity and most people who play video games will buy them to not stay out of the loop too much, so they have no respect for the consumer. Unless the sales are a total catastrophe, they will usually turn enough profit to keep trying to pull some bullshit on players. You know what I mean though. Sometimes I think gaming companies are deliberately trying to shoot themselves in the feet with practices that end up screwing over their customers. ._.
On the other hand, honestly, it seems Project Soul actually cares about the players. All of these tasks like balancing and adding new characters to an existing game, without breaking it, are very difficult. You can't expect them to dish out updates because of twitter spam. I bet they don't even have time to read 10% of it... There is a lot of consideration and work that has to be put into a game like this if you need to improve it. This game has been out for less than two months but the fanbase seems entitled and unforgiving. If they released 2B now, she might be a bigger issue than Mina, NM or Ivy for the average player on ranked, causing much more frustration and rage than we already have and would have a high risk of alienating new players from the entire franchise. 2B will be released when it's ready and only then. No whining, complaining etc. will make it come out faster, so you're just hurting yourself by doing this. Hell, PS even gave us a network beta and how many people got the game up to a week before release? They brought back beloved characters - they didn't have to do that. They reworked the game entirely and probably made the most dynamic fighter out there with the biggest freedom of movement, but the players just want more and more... must be a hard life.
