Yeah it seems like they have lots of plans going into season 2 so hopefully there will be a healthy amount of updates to keep us going between character releases. The big thing here is going to be communication. I personally completely lost interest in after the 2B release because after that things just went dead silent once again and the lack of news kind of killed my buzz for the game. After picking it back up last night to try out Cassandra I remembered how much I actually enjoyed SCVI. Feels good to be playing again, but I definitely am with you Nyte. I hope they handle this season better than the last in terms of news and updates.

Yes of course, in case we got him i mean about being a true new character not just CaS or Clone.

NGL, I did a double-take when I saw that Lucius got a unique design. My first thought was that they recycled an unused concept from Patroklos, since there's a few NPCs using old designs from the main cast (like Lidi and Xiangfei) but I couldn't find any concepts that are close enough. The closest would be Pat's 2P, but it's still not quite the same as Lucius's character portrait aside from the color scheme and the cloth wrap.

I still don't think he'll be playable though, although he'd make an interesting addition to the male roster; we don't really have a youthful, laid-back boy like him yet. (Just don't make him another S&S user for the love of Hephaestus)

Perhaps he could be the spear and shield user that we've kinda been lacking for a long time? And his joke weapon could be a really long piece of bread.
 
I feel like we should get 2P costumes in Season 2. They're added an extra outfit with 2B, Amy, and Cass. If they just go all in on asset reuse, they at least could give most of the cast a SC4 or SC5 outfit as their 2P.

It feels dumb to include an extra outfit, then make the user go put it on the character themselves and then have it locked away in a weird-ass list of all your creations mixed together. Why didn't they just do it like they did before?

Very much this. Especially when they added COLOR 3 / COLOR 4, I kind of expected for them to have "official" 2ps for the few that had 2ps, just as a default option... and yet, with this update, we still can't pick COLOR 3 / COLOR 4 in customization mode.

And it would have been ultra neat to have Astral Chaos Cassandra to be an unlockable. Maybe spoiler-laced to just have it as one of the default variants, but having it unlock afterwards would have been nice. It was easy enough to just make "SoulCalibur IV Cassandra" by using the bow-less version of her hairstyle and then adding the "Bow" extra equipment (because that's what they did), but for the specific darker color pallets they used, that's a bit harder to get just right, considering the stages on which she's fought. COLOR 3 should have at least worn the mask!!
 
Season 2 is supposed to begin with a big free update adding new mechanics and moves to everyone, but also updating the character select screen with more slots, so let's hope they will overhaul it some more with 2P costumes/custom costumes for main characters being selectable from said characters, also I would love for custom character cards to actually appear on loading screens instead of a generic card image.
The whole UI can franky use some overhauling in general.
 
I know people didnt like the long drought with no info but bear in mind we got the Cass reveal right before her release. So i think what bothered most people about it was a lack of trust that they would release anything on a timely manner even after the reveal, whenever that was gonna happen. Cassoondra never saw the light of day thankfully. Im fine with a delay of information moving forward if they intend continue season 2 releases in a similar manner.
