That animation looks brutal. Also, her RE throw animation is literally swinging on NIghtmare's nutsack. That doesn't seem fun.I personally would not want to be in that position l0l
Don't pay attention to colors, I don't recall Hilde ever using yellow/gold until now, so the previous designs are irrelevant in that regard, the best color to be associated with Hilde before the SC6 reveal was red, it was more noticeable than any other color, but since Namco's "teaser colors" are associated with SC6 designs, which we have no idea how they look, and not the older ones we know, then the they could really represent anyone.Well, she is grey... but the real question would be if they’re willing to pay for her copyrights. I would approve of this plan, however, because if we are destined for waifus, then we could do far worse than Ashlotte. Besides that, she’s a canon automaton.
If it's based on outfit colours, we can also take a look at Haohmaru's design which only features a tiny bit of red.Don't pay attention to colors, I don't recall Hilde ever using yellow/gold until now, so the previous designs are irrelevant in that regard, the best color to be associated with Hilde before the SC6 reveal was red, it was more noticeable than any other color, but since Namco's "teaser colors" are associated with SC6 designs, which we have no idea how they look, and not the older ones we know, then the they could really represent anyone.
Amy and Cassandra were just as they were in their respective stories of Raphael or Sophitia. Hwang is still flying his colors in Seong Mi-na’s story, unless we get his Assassin form or something.
Well, except in the period that Soulcalibur is set, the colours that we associate most strongly with gender (pink and blue) were reversed (pink was considered masculine, blue feminine). So clearly this is a hint that Rock is the third Season Two character. However, Dampierre has pink gloves and effects in Broken Destiny, so clearly we can conclude that he is the third character. Except, of all the previous codenames, only Yellow could possibly refer to Dampierre and they wouldn't switch a colour scheme mid-marketing, so clearly the character is Olcadan, and I should not choose the wine in front of me!If it's based on outfit colours, we can also take a look at Haohmaru's design which only features a tiny bit of red.
If it's sword trail colours then isn't anything to go by either as Hilde went from blue in 4 and 5 to yellow in 6.
So yeah, I don't think there's much to get from the colours. The only thing I guess is that pink isn't typically seen as a very masculine colour, so that's probably a female character (in other words, it's Setsuka).
Hwang is pink becuase he is the first naked character to appear. His gimmick is that lethal hit restores clothing rather than removes it.Well, except in the period that Soulcalibur is set, the colours that we associate most strongly with gender (pink and blue) were reversed (pink was considered masculine, blue feminine). I am of course joking, but to underscore an actual point: I think we've all been ascribing a degree of rationality and forethought to Namco's marketing actions over the last year that (I think it is obvious at this point) just has not been there/can be better explained by our (quite natural) inclination to seek insight in the absence of an substantial degree of communication by the company as to what is coming (aka, apophenia). It doesn't exactly speak well for Namco's messaging (or at least that portion of Namco's marketing team working with Project Soul), and in some regards you'd almost them more if they had been actively trolling rather than just misleading through failing to realize what they are telegraphing, but at this point I really do think it's the case that there is much less design or thought put in to the details of what little they do release than we, pouring over every little of evidence here, have assumed/built up in our heads.
All of that said, I do agree the third spot is almost certainly Setsuka. Even if the colours mean as little as matching the dominant colour in a new outfit, who else among the remaining legacy characters is going to be sporting pink? Beyond this, there's just so much arguing for her: almost certainly the most popular remaining legacy character not yet included/announced, has a truly unique style relative to all others...is a character who Namco can increase the bust size of by two cups, providing wank material for the saddest of fanboys--you know, the things modern day Project Soul regards as fundamental. ;)
Agreed: particularly if they plan (as I believe they do) on a third, all-male season, with a total order of F/F/F/F - F/M/F/M - M/M/M/M. Of course, that's certainly a particularly strong example of what I was just talking about (ascribing meaning where there might be none), but it makes sense on another level: if Setsuka is next, there are literally no female legacy characters left from the classic era (SE-SCIV) playable rosters. But honestly, at this point, if the pink slot went to Necrid in a tutu, I would almost just shrug in a "Yeah, sounds about right." fashion.Hwang is pink becuase he is the first naked character to appear. His gimmick is that lethal hit restores clothing rather than removes it.
Jokes aside it's likely Setsuka because it makes sense to go F/M/F/M on the pass.
Well...at least I'll get some use out of some of my lesser-used CaS designs. That will be Ivy.
Hwang is pink becuase
Leixia is female Hwang, so Hwang konfirmed.Someone on Twitter pointed out that Hilde was the last non-SC5 character in Lost Swords to be added to SC6.
We need an Amy reaction face for posts like this one.Wow based the colors it's not impossible Hwang will be the 3rd character, there's some violet in each. And then 4th could be Setsuka, there's some kind of Snows in the background. I can see her having some blue/grey in her outfit, as we see with Hilde, and even more with Haomaru (which background is read), the color doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna be the predominant color.

Red would honestly make me think Yun-seong, which would cast doubt to release Hwang and Yun-seong together, but would maybe make me believe in a newcomer for grey (or dark blue now, apparently), which might be Setsuka's master, to have two related pairs.Imagine if Honmaru wasn't reveal yet, we're be all here be like: "OMGGG Natsu is COMIN' BACK" , right![]()
Snow capped Shodown (Night) for Setsuka, who's agree??
We don't have money to recreate Jurakudai Vila..
