Definitely a cool stage and theme, although I've never understood why they gave such a distinctive Arabian theme to a Korean (and later a Greek in regards to Lizardman in SC3), so personally I'm hoping for an updated version of the dojo from SC2 - not that any of the stages in SC6 have been character specific so far!

To be honest, I've never understood why they gave that stage to Hwang, either, given the Arabian theme and how mismatched it seems from a Korean character lol. Now that you mention it, the dojo could be neat, too. :)

Because the Silk Road connected the east to the west before global naval trade took over. Persia and Korea were pretty much under the control of the Mongolian Empire, it's easy for westerners to forget that considering the recent past.

Here's something else to think about:
Hwang has a Korean Do sword, which is a curved single edged one handed sword
Along the silk road, you'd encounter warriors with Scimitars (kilij, pulwar, talwar, shamshir family), which are also curved single edged one handed swords (somewhat less broad/more slender)

100% we will. Not only there is a missing spot on the stage select screen, there is also a placeholder notch where the last Season 2 stage is supposed to be. The real question is if it will be unique like Setsuka's stage or just a rearranged version of an old arena like Wolves' Heaven.

Interesting...if it is it doesn’t seem very Hwang like to me...
Also does anyone know if the event is on Saturday or Sunday? I’m seeing tweets which reference events / online challenges on both days, so not sure when exactly we’re most likely to get a reveal..?

Malfested Hwang maybe ? It reminds me Seong Mi-na's stage in SC3.. so it can be Hwang then, since it's in Korea.

The scarves definetely remind me of the mysterious silhouette Okubo shared... Maybe that round shape could be some kind of portal that would enable time travel (and potential S3 DLC characters from SC5?) or something?

It looks similar to the Ling-Sheng Su Ruin, Mina's stage in SC3. The bluish circular material looks to be the same type of material in that relic Kilik wears around his body.

Here is another one from Okubo, the symbol looks familiar to me, but I can't quite recall what it is...

That's the symbol from the Soul Blade opening. It's also present in every past iteration of the labyrinth stage. Seems to me like we're getting the entrance to the maze/crypt.
