My problem with 44K is that it is a High. A lot of lows recover in full crouch and can't be punished by 44K. Also JS 44K has less range than GS BF 44K unless you do the [K] version which will costs you ~20 life.
1) Jolly-Tira should be a spacing character with evasive moves, aGIs, good pokes but small damage. The lack of damage would be balanced by the possibility of moodchange combos that can be applied when the enemy whiffs. Gloomy on the other hand should yield higher damage potential at the cost of...
I hope her mood changes are controlable via the new meter mechanics. Sacrificing some meter for a guaranteed mood change in a combo would turn out nicely imo.
Hey,
the Dutch SC-Community dissolved around the time SF IV came out. You could possibly find some players on www.dutchnoobz.nl or www.drakenslag.com. Maybe you can spark some interest for the game again.
A BT stance should remain Voldo's thing imo but I wouldn't mind more moves ending in BT. What I would really love to see are early TC frames on BT B+K.
To end up in BT don't forget that you can jump over the opponent. And you can stand up into BT if you are facing away from your opponent when...
The GI properties of GS 44B are very late in the animation and therefore you cannot reliably GI with it. The autoGI of GS 44B can work after moves with a lot of frame adavantage. E.g. 4B+K on hit or GS 88B on block if your opponent tries a quick A or 2A to interupt you.
I found another major flaw in Rock's game :/
If your opponent breaks a ground throw and rolls towards Rock afterwards he will be in superTC and go under almost every mid of Rock and even 2K. Then Rock can be whiffpunished easily . Another ground grab or crouch throw while the opponent is...
To bring it back to Tira matchups Baba's right if he refers to Tira's tracking. Her most damaging verts have absolutely no tracking to her right so his tiny step is sufficient.
But as mentioned before Tira has the tools to make people think twice about stepping.
Yes you are right if it comes to sidestep. I was thinking about step in general and in Ivy's case backstep. A lot of Ivys are backstepping a lot in coil (you too) and that even makes GS 22A whiff i.e. CL 66A-> backstep ; CL 1B+K,B -> backstep etc.
:D
Up close Tira still has AA and throws for antistep. So you don't have to rely on punishable moves if you don't want to. (I actually use JS 2A,B as step killer, works surprisingly great). And with GS 22A steppers (who are not IVY) are in trouble.
+ Tira can whiffpunish for 90+ in GS and 40+ in...
Cerv has nothing that puts Tira into a disadvantage that would make this matchup worse than 5:5. He is not a good spacer at all which is Tira's biggest problem + Tira can punish a lot of his stuff with 44K.
