You guys have to stop setting yourselves up for disappointment. I keep seeing people do this here (in the wrong thread by the way so know that I"m going to start cleaning that shit up) in that someone will say something along the lines of "oh I bet they'll drop some new information on such and such date because I feel that would be right." When it doesn't happen you start seeing a flood of "GRRRR BAMCO!"

So please just stop. Or if you're going to do it, do it in a speculation thread where it'll be seen as speculation. Because as much as this is an advisory post from someone who has had to feel this type of wait four different times over the last 13 years or so (trust me folks I feel your pain) this is also a warning to stop misleading people into thinking something is coming on a specific date when the fact of the matter is NONE of us know when anything is coming.
 
They've moved A and B throws to A+G holding 4 will activate the B throw now. B+G is RE. The new buttons are just bindings.

So, are grab breaks just pressing A, as-in without mixup?
Or is it A & 4A to break?
Or is B the break for 4A+G?
 
Hmm, not 'really happy with the whole GI still being somewhat risky, its the posterboy feature of the game for crying out loud and they still dont get it.
Sometimes i really wonder if game developers are just literally insane and unaware what it is that makes their game succesful. Its definately not the size of ivy's boobs buddies.. Its what sets your game apart from other games. And thats also why making your game 'more like other games (cinematic supers for instance) hurts it rather than makes it better. And no thats not a matter of preference, it has a psychological effect of disconnect from the action (the brain switches to another mode when youre actively puzzling for a move or passively looking at a cinematic event)

The whole rock paper scissor thing does look extremely gimmicky aswell to me, one shouldnt care about flashyness.. take those flares away and all you have is a feature that inserts a form of rng(gamble) into a fighting game and noone likes that as it will always feel unfair, and the WORST emotion you can have in a game is unfairness.

I would therefore really appreciate it if those two above can be toggled off, atleast in the online lobby options.

As for characters, obviously.. Voldo better be in this game or im going to break my spine doing the bridge and run all the way to japan that way to protest. This will not be a pleasant thing.

Anyway, im never really hyped on games but i cant help but check googs and youtyubes almost every day for news.. sadly 9/10 is rumors.. sigh.

I also dont really understand why people seem to be cool with maxi.. wouldnt li long make more sense in an origins game?
As for dlc, i refuse to ever cater to that. I see dlc as the most insulting practice in videogame history so not going to bother with 'characters for dlc' as i wont buy them no matter who they are. Heck if they put voldo in as dlc instead of the main game i might not even buy the game at all anymore despite being stoked.

I believe you missed one little detail. The majority of the buyers don't care about GI being risky, give them good SP content and we are done.
 
Sophitia's new moves:

TAS AB - Reminds me of Patroklos 66A BE. Basically a mid into a + on block guard break. Can be interrupted and stepped, but both of those lose to TAS AA. Remember that you can't Guard Impact break attacks, so if you try to GI the low, the mid can launch you.

2BK - New extension to pair with 2BB. It is a safe high kick that rings out. First hit doesn't force standing so you won't be able to CH combo on crouchers.

6AA - High low that has an aGI. Dunno what it parries.

6BB - A mid mid that has an aGI. Dunno what it parries.

AAA - Basically an AA with a high follow up.

BBB - Basically a BB with Pyrrha's SCV 3A+B as a follow up. Very steppable and interruptable.

Sophitia changes:
  • TAS (Twin Angel Step) is now inputted as 2366.
  • TAS B is now unsafe with reduced pushback. On air hit causes bound to give additional follow up.
  • ASS (haha, but Angel Step Sidestep) now just gives you the AS movelist.
  • AS B is now i13
  • B+K can now be done from crouch as well as standing.
  • A+B input changed to 6A+B (all of her aGIs can be done from crouch in this game)
  • Pyrrha 4B changed to A+B (mid). It does not launch normally. If you want to get more specific it is the same move as Cass 22B from SC2. Can reallign with opponent.
  • 1A no longer knocksdown
  • 4AB is now NC
  • B2BBB is now 1BBB
  • She now has Pyrrha 22BAK
  • Jump B changed to look like a while landing move. Can cause ringout.
  • 6K reduced pushback from Pyrrha Omega 6K
  • 1(K) is now safe on block
  • 3A+B changed to 11_44_77A+B
  • 8B+K now realligns with opponent. Still kinda sucks.
  • 4B+K is the unblockable input like Pyrrha's
  • 66B reduced pushback
  • 33B is now inputted as 22A+B
  • 22K knockdown on CH
  • Omega 22B is now 66A+B
  • It is possible to guard burst with RUN K
  • AS K
Sophitia in Soul Charge
  • TAS B becomes safe and faster!!!
  • BBB now can be followed up with a guard break version of 44B+K to become BBBB. Last hit causes bound to give additional follow up.
  • 44A can now have it's follow inputted manually. Becomes 44AB and it super launches with pushback on block
  • 4AB
  • She now gets 236AA BE from Pyrrha (AS AAB)
  • Just like BBBB, you can do 44A+BB.
Overall Sophitia impressions: She is basically a monster at guard gauge damage and can still poke you down and punish you hard. Only becomes more apparent when she Soul Charges. There really doesn't seem to be anything that would make you think she isn't fun anymore. Also people might have fun using 11A(A) again now that Just Guard is gone. My favorite move was easily TAS AB in this build.
TAS can still be done as 236236 and it activates faster if done manually versus the new easy input. I tested it myself to make sure after Nyawu told me, and there was definitely a delay when done as 2366. Also, 11_77_44A+B can be done as simply 4A+B.

3. yes; then he goes off on a tearful rant how the game crosses country borders and ages and gender etc. nothing pertinent
 
It can't stop unblockables.
Wait, isnt supposed that you cant parry an unblockable?
My mistake, for some reason I thought that I read somewere that it counters even unblockables. I was wrong.
But countering nearly everything else in the game is enough to justify making such option risky.

This. In reality it's the opposite of what Couslalivoldo-IV said, most potential buyers care the most about amont of content and flashy things.
Casual players (aka ~80% of sales) most probably would never use GI anyway.
 
@Party Wolf did you ever figure out how to break Sophi's command throw. I couldn't really understand how to do it. It seemed to work when I did the command with a button, but I not so sure that is how it actually works.
