I should said that better; I meant why did Max & co ignore their presence entirely until the end of the mirror match, and how no one have figured out any moves that utilize it yet? I think someone did it at yesterday's weird Tekken tourney thing.
 
Max's stream was great.

You have to understand that none of these guys are Soul Calibur players. None of them have encyclopedic knowledge of the characters and systems, and because of that they don't have a solid baseline for which to gauge what's new or changed. And if they don't have a solid baseline (i.e. playing the other games at a "deep dive" level) then they might not even realize, "Hey, look at that, Zas has a new orb mechanic, let me test a couple things."

And ESPECIALLY the Tekken players playing in the E3 tourney... sweet jesus.... whhhhhhyyyyyyyyyy...........

I like them all... as Tekken players, but holy schmoly... you could really tell none of them have played a Calibur at a competitive level.
 
I mean I've never played beyond online and winning a teeny con's tourney that didn't have enough sign ups, and played the crap out of 2 and 3 solo, but I'd like to get really good at 6 if it's in the cards for me :v

He slows down time during the CE? But after the CE the orbs remain - or they are even added to - so I don't think we've actually seen the correct application?
 
What is @Hayate's next video going to be? Can anyone do a break down of Geralt or Sophie or any other character besides Groh and Kilik that Hayate already completed?

What is that move that Geralt does where he ducks and a pink symbol appears on the ground? How is it used?

A reboot can cover as much of the story as it wants. It's purpose is to redo the story, so the retold portion can be minor or major.

Also the game has been in development for 3 years, not 6. SC was pretty much dead after V underperformed and LS died instantly.

More than half of those names are clones. ZWEI and Viola are unique characters and would add way more than Cass, Yun (or Hwang if Yun gets in), and Amy (or Raph).

That armor on his hips is from SCV CaS lol.
 
So that’s why he’s missing sleeves but it makes him look like Cloud.

And knowing he has the bandages gives me hopes we might get 2Ps since if he can have short hair, he shouldn’t have the bandages over his Nightmare’d arm.

But why didn’t Cervantes’s arm mutate?

Honestly I wanna say it's for "cool factor", but there have only been three canonical wielders of Soul Edge (barring Algol): Cervantes, Siegfried, and Pyrrha. Siegfried and Pyrrha were at the very least well-intentioned, if misguided, individuals, while Cervantes was a pirate that was regularly pillaging towns across the coast of Spain. Cervantes looked terrifying under the influence of Soul Edge, so I can only assume that that's because he willingly allowed the sword to overcome him.
 
Then again we now see one go Legendary SSJ3 and another turns into a vampire. And there’s also an almost-albino and a Time Lord. Probably doesn’t have any physical effects on Tira being that she’s already been nucking futs.

Voldo was left in a cave and lost his mind, hence borrowing from Ivy’s wardrobe.

Guess it depends on how compliant the wielder is.

Then again why is nightmare blue instead of the red fleshy stuff that took over Siegfried?

Maybe we’ll find out? I mean Zas is in and besides Groh, is the only non-SC1 so far. Maybe his chronicles might cover that history. There was that scythe-wielding statue in Algol’s SCV stage.


Also looked at Sophie’s slots in the story menu and I’d think around that time she’d be pregnant with one of her hellspawn? Unless she doesn’t have family drama this time.
 
I enjoy that in reality, the community cares more about Raphael than they do Talim. I'm a Raphael main, and while it would be a bummer to see a character that I've literally played 6000 matches with online just gone with no respect given, I *guess* I can learn someone new. I just hope my hand isn't forced, I'd like to keep whooping people with a D-tier guy.

His style is just really cool and fun to watch. He's also the only male noble we have. I don't use him but it would seriously be a shame to see him go.
 
Honestly, I always underestimated Talim’s popularity so it was a surprise for me to see that she ranked at the top of that oft-recalled poll. I like Talim, probably because she’s Filipino just like me (lol), but I’d be hard-pressed to say I want her back if she ends up being just as unenjoyable and unviable as any of her iterations post-SC2.
