Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Even though Yun-Seong got more love than Hwang, he was still underappreciated by Project Soul..... He was only one of the four "newcomers" in SC2 to not receive a 3P outfit... though almost every standard unique character had 3 outfits except for Kilik, Maxi, Cervantes, Yun and Yoshimitsu.

It does madden me that some fans think so low of Project Soul that they wouldn't bother making a new Lizard model/ skin for Lizardman if hes DLC. That they would make Hwang a 100% Yun clone like Eddy/Christie.

Then again this fandom is full of people pushing strange theories and agendas. You know how they obviously nerfed Geralt to make room for 2B and then nerfed him again to make room for Haohmaru. /s

Yeah, I'll be honest, without meaning to cause offense to anyone to whom this applies, but it sometimes boggles my mind that people have committed to memory details like which characters got short-changed on the number of 2/3Ps in a twenty-year-old fighting game. But I mention this only to underscore that even I noticed that Amy was getting less love in this respect than pretty much everyone else. It is particularly emphasized by the fact that her only three official outfits across as many games have gone hard on the rorita vibe (albeit slightly more subtly and tastefully this last time).

Mind you, my usual sentiment to the complaint of too few alternate outfits (aside from a general sense of "I don't understand this as a priority, really") is that you can always CaS something together, with a very minimal amount of technical acumen, creativity, and sense of style. But I do think it would nevertheless be nice to just once see what else Project Soul might come up with for her to wear that isn't quite so consistent with the costume for a waitress at the type of Japanese theme restaurant that makes most people cringe just to walk past.

I second this. I'd like to see what other kinds of costumes could be made for Amy so we don't always have to look at that same loli getup all the time.
 
Anyone here have links to early game footage of SC6? LIke I remember watching a video where Sophitia did Omega's DNS stab animation and it's driving me crazy I can't find it

I can’t really think of a single person besides Linkorz that plays Geralt. His representation is pretty barren even by today.

Do you guys also complain about Siegfried always rocking the same overall European armored knight style, Rock always wearing some kind of Conan the Barbarian cosplay with gimmick animal head helmets, Yoshimitsu always sticking to samurai kabuto, Maxi always being an Elvis impersonator and so on and so forth?

Lol, nah. I think what people mean is that it can be refreshing to see the character in an alternate style or design, which have the potential to come out of the 2p costumes.
