Assassin's Creed (Ezio Non-Gameplay) Discussion

I think it's a really awesome choice of a guest apperance but t.b.h, this is the first time in Soul Calibur History that i'm not getting excited over a guest character. I think it's because i didn't play the first and second AC that much since they didn't interest me. Think i'll borrow both of the games again from my bro and try them out a little again

hm...okay guys. i'm really reluctant to make this post because i know that it will have quite an impact. however, after giving evidence that the screenshot might be fake, i'll explain why i still believe that it's genuine.

so:
i looked through some of AC artwork and found this:
331px-5093223213_ede3fd9342.jpg

it's artwork from SC:brotherhood
now compare:
XplIX.jpg

yes, it is essentially the same pose, so the artwork is not entirely new.
here is why i still believe it's genuine:
  • the artist would have to draw 4 pieces of artwork, all in Takuji Kawano style and all of them so accurate for everybody to believe in (Leixia, Ezio, Unknown dude and Nightmare). i highly doubt that Kawano's style could be copied that credibly.
  • Ezio's artwork is not EXACTLY the same, look at the pants and his coat for example.
  • the artist would have to keep the TV screen's grain pattern intact. the same thing is true for the screen perspective, but that's rather easy.
  • the artist would have to make changes to the selection screen that would make it suspicious (replacing voldo and astaroth and moving the 2P cursor over the screen so that pyrrha's in-game-model "card" is not yet loaded).
  • usually, companies don't allow any artist to officially "interpret" their licensed characters. which is why the SW characters didn't have any drawn artwork in SCIV. a way to get around this would be to allow Takuji Kawano to use the licensed posture from the AC:B artwork and touch it up a little bit.
so, this is my evidence and reasoning. where is my price money? From now on, i'll just wait for the week to end so we know for sure. i'll be overly delighted if ezio in SC is real. but i thought i'd just tell you all about my finding.

Either, Ezio's in for real or this is the best troll job in all recorded history.

Add

Nightmare(Sophimare?), Top Hat Guy, Leixia, CaS slot, they all seem really legit

If was fake why Namco and even more UBISOFT have'nt yet called it bullshit?

because that's not their responsibility.
Doesn't matter

On the contrary, being SCV a Namco game and Ezio a Ubisoft char, both company have all rights of this world of kill a fake information.
But if it is true they will just shut up and reveal stuff (a couple of days from now?) like if leak is'nt happened.

And for what i'm seeing, they're both shut up as now :D

Well, gone are my ridiculous hopes of Bayonetta. Not sure how I feel about Ezio - if this is not fake, of course. I love AC1 and 2, but the side stories of Ezio games are grinding my patience with that series. His style does fit, I suppose. I guess I just wanted a character that was a little more...imaginative.
Bayonette would have been absolutely perfect for this game! :D

I don't know much about the technical side of things but if that is a fake, it's a REALLY good one! I mean someone would have to draw Leixia, a new Nightmare and completely make up hat dude, not to mention re-envision Ezio as an SC char all the while matching Kawano's style to. the. dot. All this effort to have us going for, what, a week or less???

I don't know but I haven't met many sadists with that much time on their hands *shrug*

Probably total new

He's in the new faces line, and to me don't seem Raph or Dampierre(specially not Dampierre wich was aroud 4o in SCBD)

my bet is

TEAM
Amy/Viola
lipstick ambiguos werewolf
new vampire hunter dude

VS

Raph epic pissed vampire edition

I think I see Talim to the right of wolf soul man/boy, and maybe that's Nightmare above Astaroth, Ezio's is'nt a bad choice for a guess character, he's diverse, has many weapons, a fighting skill not yet used in a fighting game, and will be able to go up against Cervantes and his unblockable gun shot. (like if a gun shot is blockable at all...) The thing that makes me wonder the most though is the character to the right of Ezio. He/She looks dark and mysterious, and looks like they have a top hat. A new soul to the SoulCalibur series perhaps, or maybe a return of an original soul with a new and cool look??
