Broken Destiny - First Impressions

The single biggest improvement in creation is photo mode. It nearly looks like they spent more time on PHOTO MODE than they did on improving ANYTHING else in this game.
Jesus, dude. It's not that impressive. It's not a mode, either. It's just what you do when you save your character.

The photo mode lets you make a portrait of your character that NO ONE WILL SEE BUT YOU (cause really, there's like five of us on here who will play this game with a friend..).
Come on, guy. Really? You really don't think anyone's playing this game with other people?

Don't know much about Yoshi anymore, but I will say this: iMCF is now easy as fuck. I was able to do it about 17 times in a row, as opposed to about 2 before. :p

Well no, I didn't mean it was impressive, its just that they put a lot of detail into a feature that I don't think will get much use and offers little to the value of the game as a whole. As for Vs play, I just don't know many people with a PSP, and I know even less local SC fans with ones. Then there is the whole gamepad debate... IMO, the features of the PSP port are geared for the console really. They should have focused more on the single player elements for a portable version. That's all Im saying.

all this talk about BD guess im gonna breakdown and get it also hows the button mapping i play with an arcade stk is it a hard adjustment to the pad

Some might disagree, but other than the lack of two shoulder buttons, I think it goes like this:

arcade stick>PSP3000=PSP2000>PS3 pad>PSP1000

Stay the fuck away from the PSP1000, but the buttons and directional pads on the newer ones are great the way they protrude so far from the panel.

The psp is crap for characters like Cass with those 236 JFs.

sadly at the moment i only have the 1000 psp lol i just got BD the pad is impossible but im sure i'll adjust i'll just suck for a while or learn a new character either way the game is fun

I posted a link earlier on how to modify the pad on PSP 1000.
Here's a video on how to do it. I don't know the language but it's pretty self-explanatory. Just open it up, glue a cut-out of 0,5mm paper under the d-pad, and it will be more protruding and have a more distinct click when pressed. It took me 5min, and it's much better now. 2 problems though. 1, I believe it voids your warranty. 2, if you're not careful you can get dust on the screen / under the faceplate.

Just played BD. I like the game, like the improved step and engine changes, but god do I hate the PSP. Even a Dual shock, while not ideal, would be massively better than trying to scrunch my fingers into strange, carpal tunnel inducing positions in order to try and play this game. But above all....I really just want to be able to use my arcade stick. I really hope this makes it to consoles.

i agree i cant play with a pad i need an arcade stk while it is fun i hate losing 2 a sub par computer because playing on a pad sucks (4 me atleast)

quick question, if i have the uk verson of the game and a firend has the us, or jpn version of the game, can we still play wirelessly together?

Uncertain. I think me and a friend tried playing Lumines with different versions back in the days and it wouldn't work. But today the technology might be more handy.

SC3 VOICES!!! :D
unisex creation items!
liking dampierre too...

only thing thats annoying me right now is... less shoulder buttons... slightly awkward with the control stick on psps...
Neck/head 1/item and Waist/Mask/head 2/item 2... theres much less conflicts and more layers... but this grouping is rather restrictive... i hope it doesnt feature in future SC's...
obviously the ruduced graphics and colouring is bad... but thats just because its on psp...

theres more to explore ofc... i havent gotten round to actually playing the single player yet...
shame about the no online too :<

ahh well... the new features theyve added are likely to be in the next console game, so until then... this and VI will suffice especially for the price i got this. :>
