Can someone here read info on game disks?

Well this time they announced that the game supports "true" DLC, so I am pretty much positive that we may get a character or two. What I am afraid of is if they add more guest characters like Bayonetta...

"true" DLC? How do they know?!

How can a DLC character that's not on the disk work anyway? They would have to force a large patch onto every person's HD that contains the new character data. The people who bought the DLC will merely unlock that patch.
It can not be done any out way with out dividing the community. If they don't do it that way, then people who bought the DLC could not play with the people who didn't purchase it and vice versa.

If DLC characters will be available I guess they will go in the Dampierre slot.
But I don't know, maybe the CaS things and music will be our only DLC and nothing more...

If they designed the game modularly, they could still add character's relatively easily. It's not out of the question I would think.

Mortal Kombat - Freddy Kruger. Since a lot of people bitched about not downloading the compability pack, they forced him LOL

I do think there should be a patch so you can at least get experience with the characters. MK9's "compatibility packs" were a bit dumb.

1) The Burnout Paradise - Force people to download a free DLC/update that balances the game on top of that downloads the data for the DLC.
2) The Mortal Kombat - Offer some free content with a download of the DLC characters.

Is it possible to find out if the timer in the character select screen indeed occupies two empty character slots?
I don't think it's possible to confirm this 100% one way or the other, but the fact is that there's *no* hidden characters besides Dampierre. If they're gonna add new characters, it's gonna be a hefty download. And there's been no signs so far they're gonna release DLC which aren't on disc unlocks.

If there's gonna be more SC, I think it'll be a new retail release. And heck, even that is is probably a big if. This game needs to sell REALLY well to convince Namco to continue the series, considering they considered the sales for SC4 and BD so bad they disbanded the dev team.

Games can be patched you know. People who buy the DLC get the character, while everyone else also gets the character but those people are not able to select the character. They simply have the data.

It's certainly possibly, but there's been no signs they have any intent of doing it. There's also the question of whether or not the game was initially designed for it. If it wasn't, it's gonna be a lot of extra work to get the engine to support that to begin with.

They said that this time the game supports DLC. Doubt they meant just the already in-game content

There is easily enough width to fit an entire new column into the character grid . The only problem would the good/evil alignment they were trying to implement.

For that matter if they wanted to, they could add a new button someone in the select screen that brings up a whole new set of slots, doesnt matter if the timer clock is slots or not. And they can add whatever they can create via a title update. The question is, will they? We can only hope, wait till March rolls around and enjoy what we know we have until then.

Hi there.
Just a quick post to say that I believe I saw Siegfried in his SCIV armour while playing Quick Match today. Alas, I skipped him before realising what was before my eyes. I'll look for him again and hopefully provide a picture.
Seem like his SCIV model isn't unused. If I'm right.
