Characters who need a good "nerfing" in the fu

I think the thread-starting abilities of new members should be nerfed.

I personally like Soulcalibur the way it is, just fix the whiffing problems.

Why ppls whines so much about Algol's bubble? Step them then kill Algol, I don't see what's hard into that.

...Do you even play this game? Ivy while a great character, she still has very few easy tactics. She's got a few good moves that you'll see a lot, but usually she requires a great attention to spacing and using the right move for each scenario. She's one one the hardest characters to use and learn.
I wouldn't be listing characters who I think deserve a nerf if I didn't play the game. Ivy may require spacing tactics, but I doubt she is as hard to manage after that like the way you are making it sound. I mean, does Ivy even have a bad match-up?

Hilde: Get rid of doom combo, higher damage output, or just get rid of her all together. Alternatively increase charge times or have charge lost on being hit or something.

All SW characters: Two words: Beat it.

Sieg: Tone down damage a smidge, add a slightly bigger delay for knee repeat, so players are more prone to accidentally complete SCH KK. (Yes I think my main should be nerfed.)

Algol: A) Limit Bubbles using guage, B) Limit bubbles on screen, C) Make bubbles deflectable/poppable with an attack, not just GI.

Sophie: Lower damage on a handful of attacks.

Rock: Less throw emphasis more "Beat you with a freaking rock" emphasis.

Mitsu: 2KB can just disappear.

Kilik: Smidge shorter range, damage nerf on Asura.

Yun-Seong: 2BB, though easily dodgable gets incredibly annoying incredibly fast. Make it less spammable.

Setsuka: Slight damage nerf on some moves.

You know they could keep algols bubbles all together and do them like Dan's fireball from SF alpha and just make them dissipate after a few spaces. This way you could still use them for combos and mid range attacks but you cant fill the fricken screen with them.

A more reasonable nerf for Algol would be to make bubbles disappear when algol is hit. They could do the same thing to hilde and make her charges reset when she gets hit too. I think those would be large nerfs, especially to hilde, even if you change nothing else about bubbles or doom combo.

It never fails to amaze me how scrubs complain about Mitsu 2kb.
In SC1, 2 and 3 when 2k tracked and tripped on its own, and B gave you a stance shift into MST, nobody complained.
Now in SC4, you have to commit to the move, input both hits, can be JF teched, DOESENT FUCKING TRACK TO ONE SIDE, is launch punishable on block... NOW people complain.

You guys are probably gonna drown in your own tears when 2k trips by itself in Broken Destiney...

The problem with hilde is not the doom combo itself (which is , of course still broken) but advantage on guard those charged moves produce. She can safely step, backdash etc without any fear of being hit, but you have to fear chasing her b/c of the huge risks involved. I think even with doom combo removed she would still be too strong in this game.
Also like I posted in the other thread her C2_3A move have - adv on guard, mid, TC, aGI, tracking properties. So probably something have to be done about both C2_3A and doom combo.

Algol... just reduce his combo damage by half or so.

And maybe do something about kilik =)

Agreed. I think the only major problems are Hilde, Algol, Kilik, Voldo.

and some minor ones like tira not hurting herself, make mina acutally playable...., glitches/whiffs, and make amy taller? O.o lol

Totally agreed with people saying that the way to balance a game is to buff weak characters instead of nerfing strong characters. Some of the most boring games ever, such as T5.1 and SC3AE, were created by nerfing strong characters without buffing weak ones. It is a lazy and boring way to balance a game. So unless something is really really obviously broke, like doom combo, leave it alone, and focus on giving useful moves to the lower tier characters.

Very much lol at saying Mitsu's 2KB shouldn't KD on normal hit. Really? Seriously?

Agree with the Algol bubble spam as thankfully i don't do it too much xD

Bubbles are only really good for interrupting combos and attacks.

What i'd want is:

Nerf hilde just stop the doom combo from bieng so powerful.

Make it so a mitsu can't win by just knowing a few mixups... I'd love for them to atleast make his 2kb a harder input. 412k:B or sumthing xD

honestly C3A just needs to be butchered in hilde's case because that move is virtually flawless and has a million strengths.

you know bubble spam only works against people who suck right?

just saying people think its a beat all end all but its not

every character has a way to deal with it

there is a universal anti bubble strat: run up close and GI ( if they are using yomi to beat your run ins they run up and guard, much safer)

Algol's bubbles are stopable, so it should not really be nerfed, but its just that fighting Algol players can get really annoying at times because every Algol is like the EXACT samething. Just step the Bubbles while getting closer and closer, time it right and attack/block. Rinse and repeat over and over till Algol dies. Its just makes fighting him so boring and long. They should put a gauge for his bubbles, after a certain amount of bubbles is fired, he can't shoot anymore bubbles. Give him like a couple of seconds to charge up before he can shoot more bubbles. lol

If namco does read any thoughts whatsoever in regards to the community. I would have to say ignore this thread. Most if not all of the things in here should be ignored.

For those that's probably thinking wow such a dickhead comment. Who does he think he is.

The simple reason is because the majority of this thread sounds like complaining.

2KB has been nerfed so bad............. like idle mind said

bubbles arent a problem for a competent player

asura dmg nerf? whats the point of using it then? why would anyone use it when its so unsafe and not as strong the risk reward would be out of whack

sophie dmg should stay the same she has no way to deliver alot of dmg out side punishing................why nerf that?

cervy stun combo nerf? its shakable what more do you want?

I know, I guess it would be more of a buff for him rather than a nerf, but it still irritates me when I see people using it over and over again >.< I guess it's more a thing I dislike about him overall than actual overpoweredness.

And holy crap I meant 4BB X_x;;;;
