Dude this game is hard as fuck. I am a proud man who can actually say I beat this game. I know of a game that is harder. These guys think those COD games are hard...which they are, but they fail in comparison to this ninja turtle game and the game I am about to tell.

People, ladies and gents. The hardest games are nintendo games, point fuckin blank. The new games are kinda hard, like the COD veteran difficulty is a bitch, lol. I played that too. The gaiden series and the devil mary cry 3 ( original version ) dante must die mode. Those are also hard as hell... ALL beatable too.

Play Little Ninja Brothers for NES. I am telling you that this is the hardest game I have ever played in my life. Second would be Teenage Ninja turtles for NES, Third would be COD on Vet.

Im telling you, Little Ninja Brothers for NES is some BULLSHIT. I STILL haven't beat it, lol. AND IVE HAD IT SINCE I WAS 8!!!

Well seriously if we're just saying hardest game ever with no conditions, then you really need to play Dragons lair for nes. omg wtf.
 
i really enjoy this thread, but i havent seen anyone really mention any newer games 2000+ or does it just seem that games now adays are just easier?
 
The newest (and naturally, most difficult) Touhou games are post-2000. I think some other people mentioned Call of Duty or Devil May Cry at some point...

Truthfully, I do feel that most games have dumbed down lately, such that beating a game is never truly satisfying because it wasn't really a challenge. At least, that's how I feel about most American game developers; they're afraid of challenging their players for fear of being accused of bad game design in the name of 'challenge', so they have to dumb down their games so players don't have to use their brains for anything beyond "point at enemy and pull trigger".

Little F'n Ninja Brothers!...goddamn, that brings back memories!...that was the ONLY RPG I never beat, haha...still tho, the game was entertaining as hell!

Let's see if I got one...I remember Wizard and Warriors 3 being hard as fuck to beat....that's another game that I never beat, but still had fun playing...

Battletoads and TMNT was hard as hell too...I remember back in the day when I finally beat that game...I MADE my sister take a picture of TMNT when I finally beat it...and I beat it 1 whole times, haha...

Finally, this ain't the hardest game at all, but remember Narc for NES? Remember when you fight Mr. Big and you fire EVERY SINGLE F'N THING in ur arsenal only to find out you have to shoot his hat and glasses?!?...

Games were hard years ago because they were SHORT and if you beat it then you were most likely done with it.

I'm sure we all can agree that a few hard games now and then make up for the average easier experience that I think is pretty much 1000x more fun.

I beat this game. This game was also hard as fuck.

I want to be the guy is another impossible game. I think id have to put this up there with Ninja bros...
 
IWTBTG really isn't THAT bad.... hell...honestly I find a game like Ninja gaiden 2 on the hardest difficulty harder than something like IWTBTG or that boss character posted way earlier in the thread. The simple reason is because these "super hard" things are based on memorization. Hard..yes...beatable though as well. Its the broken ass games where there is a greater problem. Now Ninja Gaiden 2 isn't really the fit for what I'm saying cuz the game wasn't that broken overall..just hella stupid ai spamming. But some of the old SNES games just pretty much came out all broken the fuck up to the point that there really was no point in playing. Go ahead and say games like IWTBTG are hard..and take a lot of time..but you CAN beat a game like IWTBTG given enough trial and error.

This is true, but IWTBTG actually adds in broken shit like bosses suddenly becoming un-killable or random intentional lag to fuck with the player. The trial and error argument can be used for any game, haha. "It's not hard, you just need to practice it over and over" can literally be applied to anything.
 
Its so fucked up I was playing Ninja gaiden 2 today Im about to beat the fucker and then bam power surge, I as even playing on the NES. After that happenend I just threw the controller to the ground knowing that god was mocking me,

Also dusted of Rsh'n'attack. My buddy and I couldnt get past level 3 :(.
