I notice a lot of people are being extremely cautious about XBO. Ever since they changed their ways to make things better, people are now losing their trust. Microsoft sure dugged themselves in a big hole & now that there trying to change, people are feeling unease & not very trustful anymore.

I myself kept my cool about XBO & knew they were going to do the right thing.

Microsoft no longer charging developer to patch games

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...rges-developers-to-patch-their-xbox-360-games

Could we get one last scv update?
While I understand the intent behind that rule, in practice it turned out to be a bad system. Especially for fighting games. Heck for anything with a heavy pvp orientation. While a single player experience could easily be released as complete, competetive human player pools are insidiously evil and hellbent on breaking your game in ways you never predicted. This gives rise to the need for frequent tweaking and counter tweaking. While every patch still has an internal development cost, this is one less barrier in the way. Good riddance.

The Kinect conversion part still makes me nervous.
I was unaware of the conversion, however while I understand your concern I am forever cursed with optimism.

I don't think we've had a solid answer from Microsoft on anything related to this console, I really can't trust them anymore. This just goes to show how they'll do anything to get the most profit out of their shitbox; I'm sure as hell not giving a cent to Microsoft until they get it together.

Now I'm seriously considering going Nintendo this next generation.

Let me tell you all a little story.

12 years ago, I got the original Xbox for Christmas. And it was good. Back then I didn't give a single fuck about Microsoft: the gaming was all that mattered. Saddened by the cruel death of the Dreamcast, I viewed this huge system as its spiritual successor, especially what with Sega partnering with Microsoft for the internet functionality of the Dreamcast.

10 years ago, I became a member of Xbox Live. I still didn't really give any fucks about what Microsoft had planned in the long run. I spent much of my middle school years whiling the hours away by playing fighting games online with the most casual rulesets ever (infinite meter, EO Mode, color edits, etc.) and teamkilling in Castle Wolfenstein until I got my first account suspension. Oh yeah and Halo 2 was cool.

6 years ago, I got my 360. I had no idea that this would be the longest generation of them all, and gradually I experienced both the highs and lows of the 360's lifespan. It may have been later than usual, but I finally started understanding some of the finer details, while still being concerned mainly with the games.

Soon, Kinect was announced. I asked myself, "What the fuck are they thinking? This will only draw the attention of casual idiots." To my shock, it was successful. In a rare moment, I began fearing for the future of the franchise of consoles I had stuck with for so long. I feared that this abomination, Kinect, would soon be force-fed down the collective throats of the gaming community.

And now, here we are. Microsoft has come out and shown their true colors.

You cannot imagine how betrayed I felt when I saw the dick moves Microsoft had been pulling lately. My nightmare had become reality, and I am now faced with the disgusting truth: Microsoft does not give a shit about their customers, and will cater to the lowest common denominator in the name of money. And to top it off, they will backpedal and flip-flop when they realize that their policies will hurt their income.

Fuck Microsoft. Just...fuck them. They've shattered my trust completely. Because of their monumental leap off of the slippery slope into the pit of stupidity and greed, I will no longer support the Xbox anymore.

Well you could...... JUST DANCE

Wait, it's out? That can't be good.

Rayman was going to be a Wii-U exclusive, then they saw the horrible Wii-U sales and they said "Wait!... Uhh, we're delaying our game.." So they delayed it, now are releasing it now on all 3 consoles. Lol, Nintendo.

Nintendo CEO: "We would like to apologize... We have not been able to make game, quick enough, out for, Wii-U as we would like, we apologize!" In other words.... "We would like to say sorry for sucking!"

Well that's not true at all. Rayman has never been an exclusive franchise. Ubisoft rarely play that game. Almost every version of every Rayman game has been multiplatform, and im talking UBER multiplatform having some on Sega consoles, PC, NGAGE and Atari Jaguar. They've never, ever, wanted to limit their marketing, because Ubisoft is usually good like that. So even though the Legends was announced as Wii-U exclusive, they changed their idea on that FAST.
Even Raving Rabbids which was made for the Wii was released on PS2 and Xbox lol. So even though Rayman Origins and Legends have numerous things made specifically for the Wii-U, it being exclusive was at best like Tales of Vesperia or Bioshock where it was made for a console first, and then later moved over to the rest.

Alas this isn't what this thread is about, so the rest of this conversation should move to PMs if you want to talk about it.

AFTER, they saw the horrific Wii-U sales, THEN they changed it from being exclusive. They announced they we're delaying it 1 week after the Wii-U launched, then announced it for cross consoles 3 weeks after Wii-U launch.
