Nightmare Web Theater.

Having watched the Keev vs Saitoh, I would say Keev's normal defensive style of play worked against him. Saitoh did very well. I still have some ideas for that matchup but I think it's still Asta favor...we should talk about it on aim lau

as for Schneider, I would say mostly what the others did. you missed some free WS B for blocked lows and also mitsu bA (i think that's the command?). also need to do that 66B combo to 33B or something else when out of A+K range.

main thing though is need to work on your evasion tactics. small disadvantage moves on block like 66B/66A/11K, and small disadvantage on hit like normal hit 1K and 11B, you really gotta start stepping afterward, and sometimes B+K or bA as well. gotta use your evasion ability

also I saw 1[A]6 blocked into GS KK once, which you should NEVER EVER do, since GS B basically better in every way in that situation

I like that you broke throws well and used good mixups in general. good to see you using the GI into A+K staple. good job at tournament :)

nice vids, wished there were tourneys around my place. Anyway the keev guy doesn't seem to use aGA, damn i have trouble with bullrushing Astas as well arg.

Scheinder imo 66B if hit -> 33B6 GSKK does more damage and possibility for ring out at great distance or 2A+B if theres a wall splat, and if they block the 66B go for either 88B or NSS A/A+B or just back off and 1A or even 66K if you are too close.

After watching the rest of Keev's NM matches, I can say he has one of the best NM's ive seen. Wonderful defense.
Heh, I wish I played like that all the time, it takes me a good while to get warmed up before I play that solid. ^_^; Real good stuff man.

I need to use 44bb tech trap more after NSS A+B instead of 66B. Seems to be more effective..

Promiethius, 44BB after NSS A+B usually isn't used as a techtrap. Its main application is for an anti-techtrap.

So switch between 66B and 44BB.

one other thing schneider, be careful about 1K > 1K when first one is normal hit, one of hte matches you won because of it but if he had done 2A after hte first hit you woulda died.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll definitely work on the things lau mentioned since after viewing those vids I feel the same way.

Thanks for watching and for not being harsh lol.

Not trying to be an ass, but if we tell you setups/combos and stuff you should know about, all we're gonna do is repeat the stuff that we've already posted in the strat discussion threads. It might mess with your playstyle. :|

I watched one of your vids, versus Binkley (Cervantes). Binkley doesn't seem to be familiar with Nightmare, from what I saw, so he wasn't really avoiding & punishing as much as he could.

-Ease off the 1As a bit. If you're gonna do it and you know they'll block it, do full charge 1[A]6~GS B instead.
-Stop doing 3[B ]. Regular 3B is better and safer.
-Instead of 3[B ]~NSS bA, do 3B, pause, 1A6~GSKK. 1A is a techtrap that will catch all techs after 3B. Just pause for a bit before doing the 1A. If they lie down on the ground after 3B, do 44B[B ], then NSS A for a tech trap. If they stay down and side roll, do 1[A].
-Use 11B more.
-Use aG+A more.
-Use 11K more.
-Use 1K much, much more. If it lands as CH, do WS [B ] or another 1K or WS K. On normal hit, block, SS, or B+K (against characters with short range).
-Mix and match CH WS [B ] > NSS A+B > 2A+B with CH WS [B ] > NSS A+B > 66B. The 66B is a tech trap that catches left tech, I think, and if it hits, you can do 33B6~GS KK combo right after. If they start teching right, do 44B[B ] instead of 66B. Do NSS A afterward for tech trap. Every once in a blue moon, I crouch after NSS A+B and ground throw.
-Ground throw more.
-Mix up your post GS stuff more. GS A isn't the only option. You can ground throw after GS, WS B, WS K, and double direction tap attack (33B, 44K, 66K, 11K, 11B, 22B, 22K etc)
-After you A+G throw, if they stand straight up all the time, do [2]K unblockable > 2A+B. When they wise up and start siderolling, do 1[A].
-Interrupt more with 66K and 1K. Don't rely on 6K too much because it's a high.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

If you like, check out vids of the other NM players here and steal what you like. Then build upon it and incorporate your style.

cool thx for the info. i was kinda limited in the tourney cuz i was playin with a broken left wrist. all the info on here is solid i appreciate it.

you look like you know what you're doing too much to have not copied other people (take that as a compliment I suppose)

watched your match with Naomi. she can't block 1A well it seems. your okizeme is overly reliant on it

Today, some selections matchs between Hayate's Kilik and Keev's Nightmare :

Well, nor Keev or I have played a lot together, and we lack's some anti-nightmare anti-kilik reaction, but at the end of the gathering, we were reacting much better. Still some good action on theses vids.

well if u guys can, check out my match against big damage, a solid mitsu player

As Lau would probably note: the opposing player seems to not really know their anti-Nightmare.
Kinda hurts seeing BigDamage falling for the 3 ~ NSS K stun bait so many times. GI'ing right after blocking 3 could've put you in the hurt there.
You seem to have a defined playstyle. Not gonna really bother with going through a movelist as everything is situational; but I think it will be interesting on what kind of mind games you begin to start incorporating. An ocassional bA from mid range as soon as they begin pressure can really screw with your opponent's head for example.

Keev is always so hot to watch.

thanks for posting Hayate I'll check them out soon

you should learn to punish nightmare's GS A with kilik if you do not know how yet, that is probably main thing to learn to punish
