My favorites are probably Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samurai Champloo, and Ghost in the Shell. But if anyone knows where I can download the Blue Submarine no. 6 series in English dub that ISN'T a torrent, please let me know.

Yeah, baccano was insanely good. Too bad it's been what . . . like, two years now? Seriously, that and tegen gurran lagoon-whatever have been the only two good animes over the last two years.

Fishie, learn to use torrents. :P

Baccano! just got it's NA release, though, with (from what I've heard) an excellent dub. Everyone should give it a shot.

Guys help me, I don't know which box set to collect next. I am all tied up between Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry) or Fate/Stay Night.

You should get Dai Mahou Touge... I think it's called "magical witch punie" in English. It's ridiculously funny.

Princess armbar!
Princess suplex!
Princess choke hold!

if it goes the way of the light novels, good luck.

damn, figures though, lol.

With the release of the new DVD set FUNimation put out, I was FINALLY able to finish Yu Yu Hakusho and I gotta say, the Three Kings Saga was very rushed. Kuramas fight wasn't as good as I hopped (His fight against Karasu was the best.)

Kurama's fight didn't even make any sense because they guy he fought should be dead. I was like uh...ok you got your head chopped in half now you're gonna come back with no explanation...ok...cause that makes sense...

Yomi is cool though. despite the 3 kings saga being short, I liked it anyway

Heh, this is such a common problem with anime/manga... crack!stories need to stay crack and stop getting all serious.

by "crack" you mean lighthearted comedy type stuff? If so, I totally agree. I've even noticed it in American comedy films (which I tend not to watch), they are funny for the first half hour to an hour, then they get all serious and at that point it's just a waste of time.

Pani Poni Dash is ridiculous insane funny. In fact, anything Studio SHAFT touches is ridiculous insane funny (Negima!? and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei included).

In fact, since they recently released the DVDs, I should probably check out the rest of Negima!?, since I'm being sorely disappointed by the manga.

I know, I saw the 1st two episodes and i was SOLD after that. right now all i have as far as funny anime goes is: Excel Saga (Staple in funny anime) and Cromartie High School. I want the PPD box set but it's kinda pricey right now.

Get Higurashi. For the love of God.

FMP Fumoffu and this one other show with a dude married to a mermaid wins funniest shows for me.

That might be a good one to look into, but I was thinking fo "Pani Poni Dash" for my next funny anime series to have in my collection

Dai mahou touge is short, so get that first. Then you can shout princess moves as you do them in soul calibur.

I didn't like cromartie for some reason.. I rarely laughed, except when Freddie did something.

@mizuiro-kitsune--FSN is great. I haven't seen When They Cry, but I have heard a lot of good things about it.

FMP Fumoffu and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya were the only comedy series that I've seen that were actually funny.

Potemayo and School Rumble are the best comedy I've seen

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was funny in that first episode (ep zero?) and also when they bribed the computer club (ep 4 or so?). other than that, it was just not funny at all and I stopped watching it

People need to get on watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and 5 Centimeters per Second. They are all movies, so not much time spent there. Note that 3 of them are Shinkai Makoto films, who will one day be listed among the greats such as Miyazaki, Tomino, and Oshii.

And people need to start watching Bounen no Xamdou (Xam'd Lost Memories) as well. Studio Bones's best work since its founding IMHO.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is pretty great, but you need to be in the right mood to watch it.
