Ive started watching Histories Strongest Disciple. It has a shitty guy main and a shittier female main. But at least its funny.

All anime's suck now. Last GOOD shounen anime i watched was Hunter X Hunter. Is it so hard for the japanese to make a serious anime with a light hearted tone like Hunter X Hunter?
 
Baccano? FLCL? Even TTGL, though I'm not a fan. Unless you just mean shounen, but complaining that anime and manga aimed at young Japanese boys isn't serious enough seems pretty pointless.

Hajime no Ippo, though. At least the first series was decent.
 
I've been watching Cross Game and it's enjoyable.

Twenty episodes in and GITS:SAC still sucks donkey nuts, though.

ya no funk, Kenichi is a turd show to watch with only like 4 good fights in it's entirety, but when it got good it was pretty good (fights only). but still crap.

HunterXHunter is the best shounen show out to date, all it needs is the mangaka to make the some more of the damn anime since it the manga's far enough along.

@page, ya Hajime no Ippo, although i'm still watching, is good. and Cross Game is surprisingly really good. Ep 1 could've just totally caught me off guard though.

i've been watching Bakemonogatari and that shit is great, i mean wowzers penny.
 
Bakemonogatari is my favorite show this season, which is saying something considering how in any other season, like 5 shows could easily have contended for that. The best thing about it is that making fun of moe obsessions in this show is actually funny when they do it, unlike the other 5000 shows that tried to do it after haruhi made it popular.
 
@animefreak yea Ive already dropped it. It got too annoying.


Toradora = what ive been looking for for a while. I may actually read the manga for this.

It's a good slice of life. :)

I saw the first couple episodes of Beck and didnt like it, so I stopped, if someone trys to convince me in this thread ill watch the whole thing but im not convinced about it right now.

I recently finiished watching Scrapped Princess, which was awesome. I loved it. Now I'm watching Samurai 7 which is slow, but im trying to finish it so I can have an opinion ;o.

Yea ive seen NHK and loved it.
 
Samurai 7 is alright, but the production values really take a hit in the second half. It would have been much better if they'd cut down on the filler a bit and shortened it to about 16 episodes.
 
no i think the Samurai 7 length was fine, just keep it interesting. LOVE that OP theme song too.

hmm. Decided to hit up Demonoid and just go on a torrent spree with Anime. Cause playing Xbox Live is getting kinda stale atm, an Im in the mood to watch something, so with no cash going ANYWHERE towards DVDs Torrents are my bestest friends ever!

Some I ran through this thread and picked up titles and DLed some I seen and liked, for shits in giggles, and some peeps talked positively about in the thread. While It'll be a while before they are all done D/Ling (not to mention, actually watching them).

My list of shit getting ready to watch? here we go! Cowboy Bebop, Hajime no Ippo, Ikkitousen(all 3 seasons), Ruroni Kenshi, Kenshin OVA movies, FLCL, Darker than Black, Claymore, Air, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and Dragonball Z...yeah, you fucking heard me...Dragonball Z, REPEATING PLOTLINE AHOY!

personally my favorite animes are Outlaw Star(and I would buy that series on DVD real quick) and GantZ...although the main dude in GantZ is one bitch ass for most of the earlier episodes, he pretty much becomes the King of Fuck Mountain by about 4 or 5.
 
Baccano isn't on your list, and that's a real problem. Even though it's been licensed and the dub is really, really good, just watch it; you'll want to get the DVDs after, I'm sure.

The dudes voice wasnt annoying as shit. Thats why i liked it. The character himself was interesting.
 
lol the character in NHK wasn't interesting, the entire plot was.

Rekano that's not enough anime. my "watching" list is in the hundreds, get more anime in yo brain. also watch Dragonball KAI as it's DBZ HD Remix.

Heh, it's hard to download that much anime all at once though. Especially if you're watching stuff released right now which averages 250-350 mb per episode. Actually getting all that watched is an even worse story. I think the number of series I've watched to completion numbers in the low hundreds as a conservative estimate, and I watch a lot of anime... Nothing wrong with only watching 5 or 6 series simultaneously, since you can always add stuff as you finish things.

Anyways Rekano, you should watch Nanoha. It's more manly than all those shows combined.
