I'm really liking the recovery of 33B to be honest :)
RO B has short range, and it seems to whiff a bit...damn, they need to fix that.
RC AB is hot sauce
LI K is hot sauce
LI is hot sauce
LO K seems safe, seems to be most useful LO attack imo

NUnchuck sound is so annoying
Better tracking on that Ro B, the fallin twist stun also bothers me the Ro B, RC A B. looks like it whiffs alot making Rc K a better choice which is sad and horrible.

Wheres are the good low pokes, tiger slutter is not meant to be used like that for a low hit...LOLill even settle for Sc4 22KK
Tiger slutter can be ground evaded that easily, FIX that..LOL

LI Bg is so needed. Boring three LI stances back to back..lol.. 66B Li into Li B into Li K. right now i would rather have Li Bg into Ro, than Li B Charge.

Just so you all know if that Li B @1:42 was normal Left: Li B, it would have evaded seig and hit:) hell i want Li B smash directional control:)
Direction control could possibly work on LI B charge:)....OR....I would even be ok with a: 8B+K that Li B jumps Normal LEFT and a PSL1: Li B that goes/jumps RIGHT:)... And also a PSL2 Li B that would jump smash LEFT:)

I noticed that to. BUT........If you JG the first one, the rest get JG'd automatically. But as you saw, Siegfried was unable to punish. Nor Have I seen 1 punish and a successful JG. Im not worried bout it.

LI is overpowered??? REALLY?? You cant be serious!! The transistion from a guarded LI to any other LI move has a huge frame gap. Its not set up that way now, nor has it ever been that way. What makes you think its that way now.

Most of the time its hard to make sense of what you post up *facepalm*. You ask SC5 3A to be BL A (SC4) and your not happy, you actually get a few things that you want and now things are overpowered and you want a nerf. Dude, start making sense please!!

LI actually sounds....ya know strong-ish in this game as opposed to SC4 LI and everything cept RO being garbage

some observations
LO BK seems to suck even more now. The K part kicks them really far away so no combos :(
2K (his old 2B+K) has decent recovery
FC 3A stuff is the shizzle
2aB has SHITTY range, as it always has
Backdash is UBER strong in SC5, i mean seriously broke, that needs to be fixed pronto
Maxi can pitbullwhen he gets in on you
2A is still mustard
LI B is pretty darn unsafe now :(
 
I guess the tradeoff for Maxi's aGI being buffed is some moves being unsafe or less safe than before. That's alright. It seems LI B's huge TC can still be used for shenanigans every so often. At least LI K looks pretty boss, and yeah, FC 3A seems to have gotten its tracking restored, so it's a threat now.

Right now it looks like Maxi will have a tougher time dealing with backstep and quick step than JG. In the videos so far, not much of Maxi's stuff seems to be really punishable after JG, but backstep just makes moves magically whiff. He has a few decent ways to close the gap, and hopefully some moves like 4B can catch backsteppers for a counter hit.

Speaking of 4B, do we know whether or not it or 4BB are safe?
 
Are you guys kidding me? Of course back dash has to be good against him. Like I said if you don't get your JG timings in, a safer Maxi is going to rape you Soul Gauge. Maxi is now truly an aggressive character.

Of course in the video vs Ivy he seems to have problems getting in...But that's Ivy. She has the best zoning tools, and currently in SCV she has the best back dash.

I did notice that one huge difference from SC4's Maxi is that, he's moves don't move him forward as much as they used too. In SCV he stays in the same place a lot more while doing his loops, so you can't just spam stuff expecting them to reach. You have to be wise about slipping out of range.
 
I think Maxi will be fine against backdashers. It's not like he won't have tools to deal with it and it's certainly possible to see some new moves appear in the next few months to help. Granted, though, he can't have everything.

General question: Through out the series Maxi has had some form of a fast whiff punisher that was mid or high. 6A+B would be a good example with how it was changed from 2 to 3 to 4. From the looks of the vids the new 66B seems to have replaced it.

Does Maxi have any other viable options as a quick whiff punisher?.

On a side note I have so many ideas for creative looping dancing around in my head it's not funny. If I could only get a demo "only" for training mode I would be a happy man.

are all pretty good whiff punishers, all different speed & damage but all can be used for different cases.
The faster & stronger whiff punisher is his CE tho. I used it 2 or 3 times in the vid, really a great move.

Personally, i'll only punish with that, the new 66B, CE, and 4BB

I HATE SC4 11B, and 66A looks so weak now without the knockdown combo/traps

True, but the damage looks mediocre now that everything is buffed, especially when it's so easy to mess the timing.
Timing changed btw, probably faster now.
New SC4 11B is really good now, transition to RC is WAY faster. Plus the charged version is good on block + fast.
 
B+KB series does less damage now??? oh noeees I thought they would've increased it as it is difficult to get.

11B at least had MASSIVE range....but faster transition to RC??? THANK YOU. Becauee it was the slowest thing to go to a stance ever. That and 4A seem to take forever to get into their respective stances lol, it's wtf maxi.
Oh i forgot it can be charged now :) awesome. Now all we need is RC psl3 LI back ;)
