Why to get a PS3:

  • Little Big Planet...game is fuckin amazing
  • God of War 3...looks fuckin amazing
  • FFXIII versus
  • generally has any good game xbox has spare the FPS difference
  • The controller is better except for FPS...in which case you should be playing on PC anyway (console shooters lol)
  • Better online community...key word better, not bigger
  • no online fee
  • more reliable than the red-ring-o-doom-box360
  • usually better graphics wise
  • some are backwards compatible with PS2 which is largely regarded as the best video game library of all time
  • BluRay player
  • Syncs to PsP

I can put pirated movies and music on my PS3 you can't do that on 360.

All Xbox360 has is a few shooters. a shit load of Fanny's, a broken controller and a ugly defective console that looks like a tampon dispenser.

I haven't played Flower yet but Super Stardust hd, Cuboid and Bejeweled2 are cool, Home is still in beta but is getting better "though people still think it''s eHarmony.com" did you see the new RE place today? looks just like the level in the demo.

My games are COD4 ghwt mgs4 Sc4 Sf4 gta4 and lbp. I still have my original system never had to be replaced.

The PS3 looks better as a system. It's not nerdy looking and when you have women over they don't try to pull a tampon out of it.

Sony makes more games then Xbox and always will. Though the PS3 did have a slow start look at the first xbox's start we only had halo 1 for like ever. and all the ps2 people bashed the xbox because even though it was a better system they had already bought the ps2 because the ps2 came out first. The xbox 360 came out first this time and all the poor people bought it and are now xbox Fanny's. even though the PS3 is the better system this time.

Ps3 has better controllers.
Pressure sensitivity is nice but I can't deal with that crap dpad .

I've been on live before and it was fun but not worth paying for.

Blu rays are better

The ps3 looks classy and high tec the 360 looks like shit/ugly as hell. ugly ugly ugly~~!

If you have to bash the ps3 your a loser and just proving how sad xboxers are.

One thing I hate about the 360 is that they try to make it sound like it cost less then the ps3 but you have to buy a lot of stuff to be able to use it properly and it ends up costing more. The only thing I hate more then that is fanboys.

MGS4=Japanese.

I say the more games you own the less you appreciate games in general. So what to do? Play a game for at least a months before you move on to another one.
SC4 has pretty much consumed all my time for other games, even learning SF4…and I never finished GTA4. World at War seems like a waste of money after COD Modern Warfare.

I went and brought God of War 1 & 2 cuz I never played them, great games. In other words Buy old games that you missed out on, if your PS3 can play PS2 games...those games are cheap and you will love your system that much more. I also took up Jaxel's advice and got Resistance 1...great game and I don't own R2 yet so yeah!

gow 1+2 were my favorite games of the last generation....perhaps gow3 can justify the ps3's woth for me

btw, i am starting to dig KZ2

I don't know if all PS3s are garbage, but mine is. It loses its PSN connection any time you look at it funny. I am an extremely plugged-in person, and the PS3 is the flakiest item on my network by far. The pattern of it is slightly bizarre. Boot a game or try to go into the store: lose connection. Start downloading a large program or an update to a program: lose connection between 5 and 25 times before it completes (and of course it doesn't save partial progress between attempts). It never interrupts an actual online play session, but something about initiating things makes it unplug.

LittleBigPlanet, Flower, controller compatibility and the Blu-Ray player make it a worthwhile purchase, but I do wish it wouldn't piss its pants all the time.

I don't have any loss of connection and I play about 12 hours a day. It sounds like your isp not the ps3.

If it was my ISP, then disconnections wouldn't coincide with PS3 task initiations. If it was my ISP, I would sometimes get disconnected during Soul Calibur binges. If it was my ISP, then I would have problems with my other devices. If it was my ISP, then when friends bring their PS3s over, they would have the same kinds of problems on my network. If it was my ISP, then the problem wouldn't have disappeared for the entire duration of one specific dashboard revision.

Know-it-all.

With a fucking HD TV, the PS3 is a multi-media powerhouse godsend that fucks your mother sideways and entertains at parties.

Without an HD TV...its still a multimedia powerhouse, just. Not nearly as badass of mindblowing, nor sidefucking.

I used to own a PS3, and in my eyes. I saw the SAME games I was wanting were coming to both systems(seriously, Blazblue was the ONLY game that was persuading me to keep it at the time, and look. its coming to both now), so rather than continuing to waste money on 2 systems and no HD to take FULL advantage of the PS3, I sold it.

Im pretty happy with my choice, tho I'd like another Xbox in the house for the living room.

Made a nice DVD player and useful for LANs...

As a console, I hate the PS3. Everything about it is just annoying. The interface, the shape, even the controller. The built in wireless is nice because you'd have to buy that for an extra $100 I believe it is to do it on an Xbox(but I prefer to play wired anyway), but the internet is quite laggy due to low RAM so at most you can use it efficiently only to view text documents and things like that. It can load up pictures, but it takes a while because the 256 RAM can't keep up with the connection speed, nor can it handle multiple windows that well(but it's still nice and fast for, say, forums and reading FAQs).

Why do I say the controller is bad? Well in comparison to the 360 controller, I quite like it, but in general, I dislike it. The "triggers" are annoying, no one wants that shit. The PS2 controllers were the best. Easy to press, responsive, easy to handle, etc. The D-Pad in particular is the best I know of for ANY video game by a considerable margin. Controllers just don't need to be "advanced" with triggers replacing shoulder buttons and all this garbage. Make it simple and comfortable.

The games, well, obviously the PS3 has some good games. We all know that, all of the new generation systems have good games. But this comes down to opinion. You could argue the PS3 has an advantage because of its graphical capabilities. But really, I don't play games for graphics, I play them for gameplay. I don't really care all that much about how nice a game looks, all it is is icing on the cake. And if there's a bad cake, I'm just not gonna eat it no matter what you put on it. That said, it all comes down to opinion again.

And yes, I own a PS3 and Xbox 360 so I'm not just saying this stuff blindly.

I got a few sets of those, and now my PS3 "triggers" are how they should be.

Main reason I got my PS3 was 'cause I wanted the system before hardware backwards compatibility was removed.

Got the 360 because it looked like it was positioned to have a strong games lineup. (Shame about all those FPS games tho. Never liked the genre one whit.)
