See the point here isn't whether or not what SU did was wrong or right.

As soon as RTD lost to Woahhzz I was 100% sure Woahhzz had won.
Whether SU forfeits, lies, or plays a joke match, doesn't matter, I didn't see how he would let Malek win.

SU was basically fighting for Malek. That's the position the circumstances put him in.

And to be honest, I am certain that Woahhzz would have won that fight. SU was being all emo about Ivy all damn day...and Woahhzz was basically peaking.

This is a whiny thread. OOF's decision to stop traveling has nothing to do with what went down at FSAK. He's a veteran he has seen these situations before.

The circumstances were just perfect to make SU the villain...

But when you use your logic...HOW THE FUCK DOES SU, FIGHT WOAHHZZ 100% FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN MAKE MALEK THE WINNER, WHEN HE'S PLAYING LIKE CRAP AND HAVING DIFFICULTY AGAINST IVY.

Before losing to Malek and becoming emo, only 2 people would have stopped SU for certain, that being Malek and Woahhzz.

Is it right or wrong or unfair.? Irrelevant, it's perfectly rational, happens, will happen in any competitive game. You just have to honestly deal with it. I wouldn't do it, but complaining about it is retarded.

Lobo I apologize. I do know better. I wasn't actually serious though because #1. I know the chances of maverick showing to a tx tourny are slim #2 if he did it still wouldn't be a problem because i'm go to tournies just to support the community and the love of the game besides I wanted to take the focus off of SU a little bit because he's getting waaaay too much hate than is warranted for his actions

And honestly i have no business going to tournies because i am not the same gamer i used to be because now i have a life, a job and a family which all come before calibur which is the reason i suck ass right now

anyway i wasn't planning on it but since malek is gonna try to make it back to NEC to dispel any doubts that he is the best then i will also be there so i can see him lose to mick in person.

I'm confident he will prevail but no one is foolish enough to think it will be one sided. I look forward to it.

Speaking of which. SU if malek makes it then i'll have to turn down the Mick vs SU rematch because the people would rather see mick vs malek no offense and besides money is tight around xmas time.

I hope we can ALL move forward and try supporting the next tourny (NEC) and the one after that and so on until SC5 saves us all

Okay, that's fine. That's alright. As I said, I don't know the actual information, so truly, the last thing I would want is for anything I said to become the source of misinformation or infamy.
For any response at all I'm glad.

I want to add that I am thankful to have your response to my posts, that I haven't assassinated my reputation before it got off the ground. I was going going out on a limb with what I was saying so thanks for not leaving me hanging.

That said, I think this thread is reaching its conclusion and I'm happy to see it; you know, posts from Malek, and Mick just now.

What I hope is that this thread's every post isn't destroyed or moder-edited into oblivion. The policy of 8wr is very strange to me... of erasing drama and flaming, but how does anyone reflect on what has been removed without a trace? (Question is rhetorical; not looking for an answer here, it's way off-topic.) Posts here are worth remembering.

Yooooo, all you guys THANK YOU! Classes were mad boring today and I stumble upon this 8 page e-drama.

For my two cents, I only knew of a handful of incidents concerning this whole dirty dealin' thing. (And the S-U/Woahhzz forfeiture wasn't one of them, honestly.) And it made me just as sick as anyone else, cause let's face it, it is pretty damn sad how desperate people can get to hold onto some kind of rep in a video game. But at the same time, there's really not much that can be done to prevent it with people manipulating the format. Like Bibulus said, money talks.

I will however be up front about it and say that, yes Oofmatic, you WILL be missed should you truly decide not to show up to US tourneys again. Why? well I still owe you a beatdown in tournament. But more importantly, your a cool dude in person, and your presence will be lacking at these events.

And Woahhzz... Jon, you know I've always been your biggest supporter during these tournaments, even with as frustrated as you've made me during the course of this game. I can honestly say tournaments would not be the same without you playing in them. Forget what others have said about you and focus only on your own goals.

This goes for all the rest of you as well who were/are considering quitting because of things others have done or said.

Oh and by the way, in case people forgot... this ain't some corporation or some other business company where you can just "replace" whomever. It's a freakin community. Last thing the community needs is previously dedicated players deciding to just up and leave. I can't make nobody change their minds about whether they leave or stay, but I hope that when the dust settles, those things will be reconsidered.

NEwayz I'm concerned here.

S-U how can you expect to revive the community on a global scale when ppl say such happens? Even though cheating is common, you've pretty much put yourself as a bad example to them and it sours the thread you've created. I wasn't @ FSAK but from what I've seen through ppl's posts, they target you as a cheater and this cause some ppl not to attend US tourneys.

This is not to bash you S-U and bare in mind I didn't call you a cheater. However, if you're still up for revitalizing the community on a global scale then do so with the damage already done; heal whatever wounds you can possibly heal.
 
I stopped going to tournaments for multiple reasons but Algol was not the main reason. The main reason was that I was no longer willing to spend the money and time traveling around. Last tournmaent I played (a billion years ago) I didn't even use Algol though he was allowed (and someone else did use him). But hey you can keep assuming I quit cause of Algol if you want so you guys can make fun of me for it from time to time.
