It was deleted but it went something like Max talking about "we playing that brand new SC VI" and Namco basically saying "yeah that's cool or whatever but how bout this DBFZ" totally dismissing Calibur. It was basically saying yeah Calibur is cool or whatever but forget that it's all about DBFZ! Just another show of how much they don't give a damn about this series. Hell before it was taken down even Okubo favorited the tweet. Sickening.
 
Just a random shitpost, but is anyone bugged how Lizardman magically got a name, grew wings and started breathing fire? My memory is probably failing me but i swear he never did that

After Soul Calibur 4 they came out with Soul Calibur Broken Destiny. In that version of the game they had Kratos. It's been said that they were trying to preserve his moveset from that game and at the same time separate LM from the other sword and shield characters so they gave it to Aeon along with his old name in the lore. In fact if I remember right they said that Aeon actually ate Kratos and adopted his moveset from then on.

...I don't know how to feel other than disappointment to what they did. I always had a feeling that Soul Calibur wasn't their favorite series, but this just pretty much confirms what I feared. Sigh. If Okubo did fav it now I dislike him even more than Daishi. The only way they could make it up is to make this an extremely good game because we fucking deserve that at least. Seriously.

Talim getting a buff and/or returning moves would be awesome. I think I remember reading somewhere that the developers actually had a hard time balancing her out from III-IV. Maybe that is why she didn't make it in V. Maybe.

That's fucked up. And it's not like DBFZ has a shortage of fans; fans of both Dragon Ball and Arc System Works will certainly buy it. Trying to move focus from SoulCalibur to DBZF is tone-deaf on Namco's part, especially when they're supposedly making up for SoulCalibur V and the following 5 years of stagnation. At least they deleted it, realizing how dumb that was. It almost makes me not want to buy SC6, if they want to keep shitting on the series, to be honest

Aeon Calcos was always his name, actually, it was in his biography. Besides, its a cursed human lizard, I don't get why you're asking for logic.
 
The SC6 tweet was less of a diss and more of a playful "lets focus on the current Bamco title we have atm"

I didnt see it as much of a diss. But then again I dont look that deeply into things like tweets.

That was definitely their intention but you didn’t have to read too deeply for it to sound like they were shitting on Calibur lol

Let SoulCalibur fans get excited about Soulcalibur. Not everyone buys every fighting game Namco offers. Some people here don't care about Dragon Ball. The tweet was also deleted, so they realized it wasn't a good idea to post it
 
That doesnt take away from it not being a SC6 diss, what would namco get out of downplaying a title they are putting out cmon guys think.

DBZ is a great game and Namco see's how lucrative having their hand in the pot is at the same time that Tekken and Soul Calibur are in motion. Im sure they want all Namco games to be promoted, so in the meantime while you wait for SC6, get DBZ.


Cant believe that some people actually took that tweet personal. Im sure they deleted it because companies are forced to be politically correct and take in consideration the feelings of the 10th man.
 
I am one of those people who doesn't care about any fighting game except SC.

Virtua fighter. DOA, and Tekken all interest me because they are all 3d, But I just haven't tried them yet. Don't like 2d fighters
