Can someone enlighten me why many people think Aeon is low tier, I have trouble fighting him personally. May be a bad matchup or pure ignorance, but yeah I am intrigued.
 
Add me to the list of people who thinks Sieg is not weak in this game. I don't feel limited by the character at all honestly. Every issue I've had to this point has been my failings as a player. As far as I've seen Sieg has an answer for just about every problem I've encountered. Fix the tracking issues and he actually might be a real serious problem.

But hey, buff him if you want to... I'll take it ;-)

my opinion so far (still too early to really tell)

TopTier:
Mitsurugi, Alpha Patroklos

High Tier:
Leixia, Pyrrah, Pyrrah Omega, Maxi, Yoshimitsu, Natsu

Mid Tier:
Nightmare, Ivy, Cervantes, Patroklos, Algol, Xiba, Hilde, Astaroth, Viola

Low Tier:
Aeon, Ezio

There's a bunch of unlisted characters, its because i dont know enough about them.
 
Sieg gets nerfed in the upcoming patch. If anyone now has doubts about him being weak, after the patch, everyone will agree lol.

But it'll be ok because every other character will get nerfed harder, thus leaving sieg with the smallest loss ?

Is this true? If so how will they nerf him? Where is this coming from? Sorry I haven't been reading this thread, I just heard that this was the place I needed to come to balance out some of the the Sieg QQ'ing.

A universal nerf would be cool (overall damage output in scV is pretty high) but so far as i heard, they won't be nerfing top tiers very much. There is no justice :sc5pat1:

Its not official but extremely likely to be true. Every sieg player was expecting a (rather big) buff, hearing about that he is actually getting nerfed was like a huge slap in the face. Hence all the recent QQ'ing.
 
game isnt even 2 months old, matchup experience and punishment knowledge arent up to speed yet, tons of gimmicks to get around still. yet here we are asking for nerfs and patches without looking at the bigger picture. something will be found after patch that people will complain about, there will be a new OP tier and the cycle will repeat.

its nice to have the ability to patch things so we dont wind up with another SC3, but lets not get hasty.
the damage across the whole cast is pretty big so i cant believe people are calling for character specific damage nerfs.

the only way they could nerf raph more would be taking away his hat >.> or maybe dressing him like scIV amy so the last remaining raph users will definitely change character.....

What i hope is to see goingaway ALL those fast TC punishers or half bar that rewards tiers, gamble and luck and not skill.

Punishers don't rely on luck at all (except maybe the chance for a clean hit for extra damage, I suppose).

What's QQing?

It basically means that they think someone's whining/moaning too much.

At the risk of sounding like a douche, that logic is just... wrong.

Crouching means that you risk being hit by all sorts of hard-hitting, safe mids which will do a fair bit more than 20 damage (I assume you meant to write 20 rather than 2 there). Take Leixia, for instance. A well-spaced 3B can't be punished by a lot of characters due to pushback (and it's -13, so no Pyrrha 236B for you), and nets her a meaty juggle. 3B+K, likewise, is -11 i.e. safe against most characters on frames alone, and even the characters that have i11 AAs can't punish it because it leaves her crouching! Hit-confirmed into the follow-up hit nets 1/4 health right then and there. Or perhaps a nice unamibguously safe 4B,B for solid damage and mix-ups after.

Random crouching is not a good idea at all. Just like in Tekken, most of the time you're better off taking 15-20 damage from a quick low poke rather than taking much more from a powerful, safe mid.
 
Im curious how people put their tier list together.
Do they play all characters to make a judgement?
Character strength is not abstract but metagame based. Its _tier rating_ is comparative to other characters in _SCV_.

So far there is a number of universal complaints in every forum, it seems.
Character A:
- Stuffed by backdash
- No mid-hitting step killer (or "too slow, too unsafe etc")
- Has no safe launcher
- Needs meter to work properly/deal damage.

Its the same for almost every character. lol.

How many people, like me, have run through every character move list, RO, wakeup, mixup options?
Im pretty sure few ppl did.
Common situation - person playing top tier complain he's weak and need skill to play. Happens all the time.
So if you put 5 ppl together and ask their opinion, they all will say "my char is weak/hard/takes lots of skill".
But if you main a couple of chars you can always say "I have easier time winning with this guy". Of couse thats where your opponents ignorance kicks in :p

There are no 2 damage moves in SCV. Example irrelevant.

Based on what/who? Where are you getting this from that makes it "extremely likely to be true"?

I wasn't expecting anything other than fixing the tracking issues (which actually seem to affect a lot of characters).

Hence all the recent QQ'ing.
There's nothing "recent" about it from what I've seen. Most Sieg players have been crying since day -2 and I have still yet to see a real good reason why.
