- Like said above, Asuka stayed a long time in the Tekken series, unlike the newcomers of SCV.
- Sophitia was not in SCV, so there is no problem in Pyrrha copying her moveset. Pyrrha Ω was unnecessary, but her moveset was more for Elysium, due to the latter copying Sophitia's appearence.
- Dunno about how the characters worked in Tekken, but in Soul Calibur, the reasons for the replacement of Astaroth and Yoshimitsu were pretty obvious. Astaroth I was killed by Maxi, but the Fygul Cestemus' intention was always to have a golem as a weapon, so it make sense that they made another Astaroth, its much better than making an excuse for him to be revived, as those are usually crappy. Yoshimitsu's case didn't have much importance, but then again, its more because of the rushed story than anything. Yoshimitsu I was old and got nearly killed, and, as its a tradition, he made his successor, Yoshimitsu II finish him off and take the title, and at the very least, he is very specific in stating he is "the Second".
- It is indeed, Edgemaster had no purpose in the game, nor had Kilik using random movesets. Elysium made sense to use the random moveset, since "she" should work like Inferno, being the will of one of the swords. Kilik, on the other hand, could have been made as a bonus character with Xiba's moveset, like the many characters from previous games that were bonus in SCIII.
