I thought that both endings could be merged. Groh would need to let people think he is dead so that they wouldn’t continue to hunt him down. But the Conduit would have restored his sanity and only told Dion and Natalie he survived. Because the rest of the Aval Organization wouldn’t want him alive either. IF. Z is his brother this might make him hunt down the Conduit as well to get revenge and tie him into the story.
