Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Mi-Na does certainly look quite athletic and brutal in the trailer.

Has anyone with in depth knowledge of the characters spotted any moves in the trailer that were possibly adapted from Hwang/Yun-Seong? That's a potential way to differentiate her (and would make it more likely for them to have been left out).
Mi-Na in SC IV was a zooning character with terrible tools, it seems they reworked her into a juggler.

Astaroth... expected. Seong Mi-na?! Hella yes!!!! Definitely didn't expect her so soon, if she was making it in at all. I wonder if this implies that she is on the story timeline. I really hope so, but I can't place her on the current screenshots. Maybe more than 20 rows after all?

So... Cervantes and Hwang at Gamescom? :sc1crv1::sc3hwang1:

With Seong Mi-na being announced we might need to have a serious talk with Vergeben. I remember a certain quote from him where he said Mi-na wouldn't make it.

*collects pitchforks*
To be fair, his quote was more in the sense that she was not likely, and it was a fairly early leak. I don't doubt there were talks of Mi-Na not making it.

Astaroth looks sick, and his CE is great, no awkward swinging like Siegfried. I just wish he were brown or orange like before. This weird purple gray looks dumb on him, except in his own stage where his color actually looks perfect lol.

At first glance, Mi-Na looked awesome, because her headgear is cool and I thought she had the Xiaoyu thing of a draping dress over dark, full-body tights, but nope, she's just in a bra with stupid looking disconnected sleeves.

Why does PS think that a bikini top is considered "cool" clothing? You can have cool and sexy looking midriff or whatever on girls without leaving characters in their fucking underwear.

I fully just squealed so loud the peeps on my house thought something had happened to me. They were right.

MY SACRIFICES TO SOUL EDGE WERE NOT IN VAIN!

Seriously though. I am ecstatic. Funnily enough I had been playing sc4 this morning, as Mina, wishing she would be revealed. I am now speechless.
Asta looks cool too.

Side note for those who watch Tekken tournaments.

JDCR has been kicked out of the championship.

THAT NEVER HAPPENS UNLESS IT'S ANOTHER KOREAN.

JDCR has been nicknamed a robot because of how good he is. I'm in absolute shock he's out.
Yeah, but his opponent is like the best King player I've ever seen... even back in the Tekken 3 days.

Anyway, I'm glad SoulCalibur feels more so much like the original again with both Asta and Mina (minus only Hwang, Cervy, Liz and Rock). This is how it should have been back in 1998 - with esports and more recognition of the masterpiece that is SoulCalibur! Instead, all we had back then was videos @ 320x240 MPEG1 - starting at SoulCalibur II 3 years later! Again, it's all about this 20th anniversary...

The Koreans and Japanese never got into SC much before, so now Okubo has clearly done his best to try to change that. Only time will tell.
