Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Not sure this was truly accedental. In the current world it takes controversy to get any kind of real attention. This is going to cause lots of talking and drive more excitement and discussion about the game all over than any proper reveal of these two characters could ever possibly generate. The best part is as far as advertising goes this kind of controversy is really cheap.

Cassandra’s win quotes troll the most out of any character in the series which gives her a vibrant personality.
And her moveset could/can be made into something so much more aggressive like Rainbow Mika with a sword and shield.
The kinda heroine to actually lay hands on you in an attempt to fuck up your shit.

Her self reliance and independence meant she needed to be excluded from a lot of events as she’d actually do something about them.

It’s why they threw her ass into astral chaos in SCV.
She has main character qualities but she’s not a main character.

So she’s vaulted for now.

What shit did Cassandra get done? Her story never went anywhere. She only defeated Raphael after 3 games; only to get knocked out by Sophitia and sucked into astral chaos.

I do like Cassandra, she was one of my mains. I just don't pretend like she was all that important in the story. Just like I don't pretend that Patroklos and Pyrrha are well-liked by people.
 
Cassandra didn't have a lot to do in the story but she sure was the cheekiest character in the game. I loved her mocking quotes and personality, though I only played her as much as any other character that isn't my main. It's just not going to be the same without any of the mainstays to me. Hard to not like everyone in this series (compared to Tekken where it's difficult to like even one character for me lol)

Imagine tomorrow they come up and reveal trailers for Cervantes + Raphael being one of them DLC... That would be the end of Bamco and SoulCalibur.

Fortunately for everyone this build did not have Tira in it. I suppose it could have been worse...

Possibly, possibly not. Is a weird world we live in these days.
 
Why bother adding all those slots for the E3 build then if the new ones were just DLC? There's no logic a DLC character taking up the slot next to Taki.

Still we can hope Lizzy and Hwang are the last additions. Those two empty slots are just unprofessional.

What is there to salvage? I'm not seeing how this leak is doing anything besides getting everyone talking and helping get the game out there. Shoot look at 8-Way run its become crazy active from just last night.

well one thing to salvage would be the 4 slots reaming, no tira in build and there just happen to be 4 DLC characters. Maybe a little clarification.

Why the hell would they want to do that? Keep people speculating and talking is a far better strategy. Especially if they actually do have those slots filled.

you have people already freaking out over tira.

you honestly think it's a better strategy to just leave that hanging? no the better strategy would be to say something vague "the leaked roster some of you saw is not the final build"

infamy can be a powerful PR move but not a powerful marketing move, if people hate your product or you they aren't going to buy it outside of something so absolutely trash that it becomes a joke.
