As far as my comment on the negativity earlier goes, I don't really care if people complain. There are things in this game and certain practices within it that I don't condone, and I think some things should be complained about, in spite of how amazing this game looks.
However, what I'm seeing a lot of, is people extrapolating the most negative possible outcomes based on shreds of information from screenshots and even speculations being made by other members. Almost as though they are *trying* to find reasons to drag the game, conjuring these vitriol-filled assumptions out of nowhere. It's tiring. I suffer from chronic depression in real life, and it's a real bummer to have to scroll through post after post of pessimism just trying to find some good conversation. The thing about the pessimism is that over time, it becomes contagious, toxic even. It lowers the quality of the atmosphere in dialogues. So like, you know, if you have a gripe about the game and you want to talk about it, ask yourself a few questions:
(this is all real rich coming from me, I know)
1. Is it a confirmed feature of the game? Is your complaint based in any kind of tangible reality? (Tira DLC, Reversal Edge mechanics, actual confirmed roster aka things we actually know about the game)
2. Does it contribute anything new, and of worth to the ongoing dialogue?
3. Is it going to start an argument? I can be pretty toxic myself, but I think most of us have been around here long enough to have a pretty good internal compass on this kind of thing.
At the end of the day, there's no hard and fast rules on this kind of stuff. Y'all are gonna do whatever you want, but it's just some food for thought that might help folks be a little more self aware. I need to work on this too, but it's really important to keep in mind that this game's release is coming closer and closer. It's going to draw in quite a few players, and they're going to be looking for places to go where they can talk and engage with a community. Let's help 'em stick when they get here, eh?
