In other news holy shit i never knew how easy it is to get Ivy's command throws in this game. The last time i practiced them it took a week just to get them at 50/50 success and killed my thumb in the process. I just tried them for the first time in this game and they both came out right away. I know, i know, game has been out for a while now and yes, i'm a little embarrased. Honestly i was loathing trying to work out the new inputs and have been putting it off but damn if that isnt easy as pie. I mean you got all day to do that shit. For any newer players that took one look at those inputs and thought "No, thank you.", give it a shot. You might be surprised.

That has always been the reason why I never picked up Ivy. Might try her now

I mean, I bet we'll still see Viola come SoulCalibur VIII when Amy grows up, if they retread that story. If they're still pushing for Raphael to become Nightmare, then I don't see why they wouldn't. This game was Hwang's chance, though, so if he doesn't make it in if they do a second season, then I feel like it's hopeless, that SoulCalibur VII will have Yun-seong, and Hwang will fade back into obscurity with Li Long and Rock. Maybe Aeon, too.
 
honestly i hope in the new dlc pass we get 1 new guest, 2 vets, and one new character. they are doing so well with making new characters look and feel so great.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if we'll see a second Season Pass considering that the game did pretty well so far.

By the way, if that datamine leak becomes real, should we expect Cassie and Amy to have their own stories, like Tira? I know that 2B doesn't have one for some unknown reason. =/

*Think of Azwel, Groh, whole SCV cast and Algol* I can't agree about last part.

I understand that one can have fun with 2B, but she is so unfitting to me. The lore, the design, the gameplay, up to the voice of the pod, nothing seem to belong to SC. Althought I liked Automata.

Even Vador fitted SC better (gameplay-wise).

I can't believe that I agree that Vader was a better fit (gampleaywise of course but still). What the world have turned into.

Tekken 7's story mode had Akuma in it, but Geese, Noctis, & any Season 2 character had no story at all. SCVI is following that same vain with a story mode that has Geralt in it(Libra of Soul) & a bonus character(Tira) with a story as well. The differences are that Eliza was a pre-order charcter for Tekken 7 that not included with the Deluxe Edition(Tekken 7 Base Game & All DLC Content for Season 1). Tira was in the Season Pass as the Bonus Character just to hype it up. Why else would Namco put her in the Online Beta as the 16th characer?

Also I read the DLC leak with Cassie & Amy in the games files after the bugged 2B update on PC that banned users from online before getting pulled. I remember when the 1st DLC came out for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Namco had names for all the rest of the Season 1 cast for that game in the files.

To clarify, i didnt get any of the just frame variants of the throws. Those i imagine have a strict window of frames to perform but the standard versions were very doable right away with a decent success rate.

I dont think they'll stretch the next game's time line into SC5 territory but i agree things dont look good for Hwang. Rock has a better shot than all of them imo.

Oh she looks like an absolute blast... for the one playing her. I dont know, we'll have to wait and see i guess but i'll be quite surprised if she doesnt end up banned from tournaments before whenever the next balance patch drops.

2B looks very interesting after trying her out, very authentic to her presentation in Nier: Automata with various projectiles, high jumps, air launchers and juggles. I think any hypothetical Devil May Cry guest character would end up with a similar style. Also I believe some of her longer combos shown in this thread definitely need more damage scaling patched in.

so, 2B's dress is near PERFECT for one of my CAS characters.

EXCEPT the dress clips when I use Ivy's sword style. sigh...……. :(

guess I'll have to try out Groh or Azwel's style instead...….

There are files implying they'll release DLC music from all SC games. Though I dunno why they're stalling to release any of it. I'm not a huge fan of the SC6 soundtrack, so I'd love music from SC2-4 to replace it.
 
I not a person who studies frames, but I have been wondering how much of 2B is shared with Noctis from Tekken 7? I love her character and I’m sad that she won’t be in future installments. I wish Namco would think about this because I still miss Ezio as well. Her CaS are all great too, I just wanted the boots to be separate and be able to change the stockings. There is no way for me to use the white stockings on anyone.

On another note I saw someone post about PC issues with the update but is anyone getting kicked on and off their internet connection on PS4? It’s annoying because I have to keep backing all the way out and in to edit my characters I saved in the separate downloaded tab.
