SC should have these:
-Canon Story mode split in three segments (Europe, Asia, and World)
-Arcade Mode (10 stages arranged by routes with no cutscenes and endings)
-Edge Master Mode, either in SB format (10 special stages per character, with the story in written format, with semi-canon to canon endings for each character), or SC3 format (I say 12 stages, whatever direction you go to determines the scenes and characters that you face. Plus non-canon endings per character). SC2's format is interesting as well.

For some fun extras:
-Extra Battles like facing Hephaestus (the pervert), or any specific things going on in the match (slippery stage, high bounce, darkness, etc.)
-Tournament Mode (I'm sure people are going to loooovveee this one. lmfao)
-Cepheus Store including new shop girls: one for CAW parts/any hidden outfits, one for weapons, and not sure what the third could be. Maybe artwork. DLC parts could also be included in the shop once the player buys the compatibility pack.

Will all of this happen? Probably not, especially with online being such a high priority, but it's worth dreaming about.
That's not a bad idea. I think that can work. jtdam09, you are a person after my own heart.

I suspect that Namco is thinking quite strategically with SCV. To them, Soulcalibur was no longer a money maker, at least not enough of one to continue. We finally managed to coerce them into a new set of games via petitions and such, but it appears they were still wary. This situation may be one big test to find out just how much we care about SC but it may end up backfiring. Based on how sales look via this method, might be their basis of whether or not a sixth game comes as well.

I honestly hope the petition isnt just saying that we want the remaining garbage CAS parts over our imaginary revised version of the game. That would be pointless. Namco isnt even willing to let them finish the game despite having the content. If fans are just going the bug them they might just cheap us out and call us ungrateful. Though, I, remember the article specifically said that the only characters with fleshed-out stories were Patroklos and Pyrrha, so we'd probably only be seeing about six/seven or so chapters worth at most for each character as opposed to a full story mode for each character.

I don't neccessarily think there's anything wrong with being nostalgic about the other SCs. If they were good and everyone talks about then, they must have done something right. Gameplay wise, keep SC5 style. Design wise, I say take after 3, but not so much that SC6 isnt its own game.

PS must revise the story/characters. This means that a new solid story must include all of the characters. If PS wants 6 to sell then they better revise that roster because everyone wants their character. Believe me when I Type this. Ive talked to people about this game and they claimed that they didnt buy it because Talim/Zas wasnt in the game.

How to make SC6 a good game.

1- players communicate with PS and vice versa
2- what are we really looking for gameplay/story Wise?
3- what characters were worth/not worth putting into the game?

I understand that we most likely wont get what we want, but we have to try.

Hey hey hey!!! That's my job.

Imo, SC5 shouldnt even exist, because it was hardly even finish the game itself.
SC6 they need to bring back the characters like Talim, Zas, Cassandra, and any other characters that went missing randomly. Not only that but give us the actual story mode, and character profiles, etc.

Oh and for online, when the game lags out, make it to where it will reconnect and not just lag out. (Like SC4?) Because that's so frustrating and dumb to waste your turn because of a lag out and lose it.

I could throw in pre-patch Natsu and Maxi for you too.
That's a damn shame. Don't for get Ivy, she has some crazy stuff. Can anyone imagine us playing this game in 2014? I sure as hell don't. Don't rely on The Petition for SCV DLC, because that will take some time.

I will be playing it until a SCVI comes out. That's what I do with all fighting games. Hell I'm ready to give Bloody Roar 4 a rest.

How about beta build Siegfried. "Oh SNAP!"
Dude that's like Legen-wait fot it.....dary.

Namco needs to take a page out of coca-cola's book and release "soul calibur classic". i don't know what kind of content limitations they're working with but it would be great if they brought back all the styles, ever. they could set the game in hell, i don't care. I've developed the love/hate thing with SCV, i love/hate it hard. there's so much that's wonderful and unique and yet, so much that needs a ton of work. its probably just a pipe dream though, as the industry is moving away from the $60/disc game model in favor of shitty phone games. don't laugh, the most expensive talent (developers, code writers) are being pushed away from working on $60/disc game projects so their bosses can crank out 40 phone games a week. talent will follow money, the end is nigh

That all worked out so well with Facebook games. I'm sure the sky is really falling this time tho.
