The team fortress 2 thread

I still want to try it out. There is no reason I can't switch up my playstyle for the Beast. I want to see how it contends with huge melees of people. Most of the time when I'm killed its because 3 people were bearing down on me. If that happens and I do 20% more damage, I think I'd be alright.

Scout is tons of fun but I have the same problem. :P

Also: If anyone here took part in the preorder bonus stuff going on the past week end and happened to get the Tamrielic Relic, methinks youve hit the jackpot

Chuck: Classic. Absolutely classic :P WTF is that guy doing in the background?

Ill be on tonight if anyone wants to get some games in.

Promotion items arent worth much, i.e. frying pan, ellis cap, gibus. Yes the buds is promontial but those were limited and aren't coming back so theyre valuable.
Frying pan and ellis cap arent valueable cause everyone and their mother has one. You can still get a Gibus. Both Ellis cap and Gibus also have the sad distinction of looking like refried ass.

Buds are the main form of currency when it comes to high cost transactions in this game. They're like the refined of the Unusual Market. 2 Bills Hats = 1 Earbuds.

And that hat WILL skyrocket in price. Example: http://tf2stats.net/item/Maul/466/
That is a Maul. Its a weapon for the Pyro. The Genuine version of it came from pre-ordering Red Faction a few months back, which was expensive, thus there are only 1200 in the game. They go for 1 bud, give or take.

http://tf2stats.net/item/Tamrielic-Relic/517/
Those are the stats on the Skyrim preorder. 900 in existence, for a good looking hat, on a class thats more popular than a Pyro = more than a bud

The Steam Trading Beta that they made available today adds trading to Steam itself. Currently you can trade TF2 items, and extra gift copies of games. In the future they'll add any other games that have trading and agree to be a part of the system, so you can trade items across different games.

Interesting. Playing the market on Steam games is gonna become an even greater game unto itself.

Also, since ive traded for my dream pair of Ze Goggles ive got a pair of regular ones that arent seeing any use. Thing is I bought them from the store so Ill need to gift wrap them to whomever wants them. Since they arent useable for the market i figure they'll only useful to ppl who enjoy Medic (besides me I think ExMachina and Omnis) so let me know if you want them. :D

Ok so I've used the Brass Beast. It is a great weapon on defense, and absolutely does more damage than any of the other miniguns. I believe the Tommislav is better for offense, but if I have to play static defense I can't imagine a better option for the heavy than the Beast.

That's what I figured.

BTW I changed my ISP today so its way better now, expect me on TF2 more.

So Scout is a lot of fun but I can't kill anybody lol. I love the movement options of the Force-a-nature though.
I used to have that problem until I found the Shortstop. Fast shot cooldown, fast reload, same damage, only drawback is only 4 shots but that's no big deal. With this and the Winger pistol, your damage output is enough to stand a chance against Heavys, Pyros, and Soldiers 1v1.

Very true, shortstop is awesome. Started playing w it the other day and my K/D ratio as a Scout improved drastically. Havent picked up the Winger yet tho so i use Mad Milk for a little extra survivability and team support
