Who Liked SC3?

Top SC3 player, probably top 5 in the whole world. Places well without his main in SC4 and never practicing ever. Has a good mind for tactics and strategies. Internet dick. He's pretty good.

We have a player like that here. Only for SCII, he doesn't impress me either tbh...
Thing is, SCI II and III are history now and it doesn't make you equivelantly good in SCIV. It makes you a has-been unless you can maintain/improve on your previous results. As for without his main, anybody can play a pocket sophie without too much practice - you just need a good set of fundamentals, good defence and strong punishing ability. She is pretty simple to learn comparitve to most of the cast, lets be honest. Provided you're a reasonably good player, sophie takes you pretty far just by being Sophie...
Maybe he competed in SCIII, but I get the feeling his opinion of his own abilities is much higher than the genuine article nowadays =/
Anyone who considers top SCIV players below their level really is all talk, surely XD.

Oh come on - I try to play Sieg at tournament level, of course I'm really fucking stubborn XD
*44K for the fucking win*

Are you saying that while you improve, everyone else remains static?
No, I'm saying that you have an inferiority complex and can't stand the thought of being unable to fit in with men better than you at this game. Whether you want to believe it or not, I can compete with anybody. Take up your beef with me personally and play for a large sum of money someday. You'd love to say that you can beat me, right? Until then, I will watch you make uninformed assumptions about how the game works at high levels, since you've never had control of it yourself.

Ok, first I'm not dumb enough to fork up a shit ton of cash in what is considered an almost unwinnable matchup for my main.
Second, what wrong assumption have I made about how SCIV works at high level? Indulge me - I'm curious.

Haha, I don't play based on matchup theory. I tell Sophi players they're frauds because they depend on TAS B too much. So you don't have to worry about that vs. Siegfried with me. You're so green I can't even explain myself to you. Sigh.

No, I played daggoth and experienced why it's so difficult to handle Spohie with Sieg:
Even tools like 4B, BB, 2A give hell mixups against her at close range - The only thing Sieg has over sophie really is throws.

I agree. Just talking about the matchup,Sophie VS Siggy is really quite difficult for Siggy. Well known fact.
In hindsight, its arguably my favourite match at EBO when your brother 5-0'd me:
I won the first round and I was like 'hey, my anti sophie practice paid off, maybe I can do this' then he won 15 consecutive rounds and I lost 5-0. Oh the irony XD
The only people who beat me down that badly were daggoth and keev, lol.

My Bro needs often some time to... "adjust" to his opponent. Sometimes that does take a bit longer and sometimes it´s pretty fast. ^^

I think he was just playing about with me at first, then after round 1, just thought 'fuck this shit', stepped it up and raped me XD.
Next time, I'll use my Kilik =P

Hi...well, I really like Soul Calibur three a lot, one of the best along with the 2nd game. So...I am kinda confused on what was so bad about it?

It had balance issues at competitive level - moreso than SCIV and some moves were just too good.
However, as a casual SCIII player, it is still my favourite in the series - great single player, fun low level competitively as well. Loved that game.
