My comment wasn't malicious tho so cool your tits. You're right, most of us are adults here so you should be able to handle at least some slight criticism over a lame joke. :))

To put it nicely a guest character should only be just that; a guest. They should in no way take a spotlight of any character and change/influence the world in a game they are just visiting and never come back in a sequel (looking at you Link). This is my two cents.

Honestly I'm so used to the arguments on here that I'm just tuning out of it at this point and not even paying attention, lol.

That tweet that was shared a page or two back intrigues me though since it sounds like we're going to get some news about the Story and CAS modes fairly soon. That's unusual isn't it? I'm sure someone on here said CAS is usually one of the last things they show us anything about. Hope they don't make us wait too long now that they've teased it.

At least it's looking like there might finally be a new build to see this month too. Things are looking up!

In that interview the guy was saying that they've taken all the things that people loved about the old games and put it into SCVI. I'm not reading too much into that but my personal hope is that Tales of Souls, Chronicles of the Sword, Edge Master-type modes might have a higher possibility of being in the game since those were easily the things people loved about SCIII in particular.
 
That cutscene in Geralt's trailer is obviously from the intro cinematic. I highly doubt it's a story cutscene. I certainly hope not, at least.
 
So, just to make sure, is everyone resigned to the idea that we're getting the now-standard "cinematic" story mode? Same as in SCV, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5 and every other big fighting game of the last decade?

Is anyone happy about this? It seems inevitable, but damn if it isn't disappointing.

The reason I ask is that an SC3-style "Tales of Souls" story mode (with lots of TEXT) would totally resolve the debate over how much of a role Geralt will have in the story. His role in the story could just be confined to his own personal story. And the premise of his story would just be "what if Geralt was in the SC universe?" He's have an enormous role to play in this story, and zero role in any other story.

Maybe it's pointless to mention this, since we're unlikely to get any story mode that good again.
 
ToS would be nice but that tweet just gets me more anxious why reveal it when we only have a small amount of essentials revealed? Maybe it could mean more single player content. Or it could imply a rush job.
