After having neither last game, I'll take either one. Played a lot of Yun in previous games, but also played a bunch of Hwang in his appearances.Anybody in this thread want hwang or yun seong?
I honestly think the issue is Japan's more ridged standards of how they define culturally appealing women are hindered to beauty standards rather than just creativity. Then the other side of that is the other angle where female characters are designed more for fan-service niches than toward anything truly life-like and different. Its either 'standard commercial female ratio' or ''Super busty & marketable." Their pool of consideration is small or too fantasy-grounded.So, it does seem like more effort goes into varying male anatomy than females
Just part of the human condition more than anything else, unfortunately the west at the moment is utterly fantatically obsessed with race, sex and orientation like it's something that needs to be put on a high pedastal so some people can feel a connection. I don't get it, never have, never needed any of those things to feel connected, I either find something appealing or not. I get more pissed off having that shit forced fed to me, like that's all the character is rather than being part of the character. I mean take this for example, Big Boss is bisexual but instead of ham fisting it down your throat it's a funny mini game with Miller in Peace Walker. That's how you should do it and if Maxi is going to be gay I would rather be handled in a natural way rather than "Here is Maxi and here is his gay lover" which seems to be all the range in video games these past few years. That shit is cringe.*Looks at the comments on sexuality & male to female ratio.*

l0l nice find, but I don't think they'll release SC6 in July.
Uh...you know that this game was a sausage fest by majority, right? Then again, a lot of fighting games are. Don't get me started on Tekken's roster xDI dont want the game to be overrun by female fighters. This coming from a man who loves women, once a fighting game roster has an over abundance of one sex than the other things get a little crazy.
I play DOA, Ive seen the effects first hand lol.
I actually like that there is a new (potentially two) new male characters. As from a design standpoint males are usually harder to make varied and unique.
Im still holding that first leak as true as up until it hasnt been made false by any reveal and it seems accurate. (Though I really hope Maxi isnt gay....)
Hwang's coming out of the SC waiting room for sure l0lAnybody in this thread want hwang or yun seong?
False.- The queerness of a character only causes a disconnect with the audience if the audience member is homophobic.
BloodyTigerRoar is right though as phobia is just an irrational fear, more about enforcing your morality on people's personal lives rather than being about a diconnect of people's personal choices. Are you... joking? Or just ignorant
my first game is Soul Edge, I have great affection for Hwang, but Yun Seong haveAnybody in this thread want hwang or yun seong?
Unlikely as it certainly is, I'd be fine if they actually did do that July release. Sure, we wouldn't have a lot of news, or perhaps that means we'd get a lot and faster up until then which would be nice, but think about it. Would be a literal copy of the original release, and if they genuinely were 70% done back in December, who's to say the rest might not be very close to complete? After all, just because we've not seen or heard anything on things yet doesn't mean it isn't finished. Especially considering how long they've said it was in the works. At least we can assume based on what they've said and their goal of getting it out this year, that it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility to be a complete product and out around that.
Hypothetically, they could just as well show and tell us quite a bit even in that short of a time, then hide the rest so we have to discover things firsthand. I highly doubt it's even possible, but it's not unreasonable. Also putting that out there with some thought behind it, 'cause I actually also can't think of anything in particular for it to compete with in that month release-wise, though I could easily be wrong. Probably going to just be the same demo again though, unfortunately. Cool that the lineup's announced so far in advance though.
my first game is Soul Edge, I have great affection for Hwang, but Yun Seong havesexy bodybetter stances...AND SHIRTLESS factor
Hopefully they do it classic style. It's part of the charm if old school fighting games imo. Maybe even multiple cutscenes depending on different criteria. Since it is the current gen, they have the memory space nowadays :)Anyway.... I wonder if we will get the classic individual arcade like story mode, with each character fighting through the arcade to get their own cutscene at the end. Or more like how we currently view fighting game story modes where there is a clear single story and you get to fight with multiple members of the cast throughout.
