I really hope that Inferno will not be a playble character. I hate stupid playable bosses. It'll be a wasted slot.
I'm guessing that he either a) mimics everyone like in SC2 or b) uses Nightmare's moveset. In the event of the latter hopefully he can be an alt costume.

I'd rather they not pull an SCV with having something you can fight but not use in some way, honestly. Didn't much care for SCIV Siegfried and Nightmare, as well as Inferno Cervantes, being Legendary Souls only. Should have been 3Ps. Reserve that for what's actually absurdly broken, like Night Terror.

So... are members of the public, like, actually playing SoulCalibur VI right now at E3 as per the below video...?
If so is Kayane there or anyone else...?

Why has no more "amateur" matches surfaced yet?

Why is there no general footage of visitors looking around different booths with a mixture of games...?

I am rather disappointed with what we had during E3. No wow effect : no opening trailer, no selection screen with 28 slots, no extra mode/solo content, no new character, not even Talim.
Today, what seems to figure on the horizon is a game ... well, better than V, but that's it.

I know it's not definitive, but I remain concerned about several things:
  • only 23 slots on the selection screen ...
  • ... including maybe sword & shield lizardman and inferno
  • only 12 stages on the selection screen ...
  • ... including some random places
  • apparently only 4 to 6 battle per character for story mode (tales ditty of souls)
  • all these spam from RE in casual footage. I'm already fed up with this feature
  • the first images of the CAS: a modern suit and swimsuits ...
  • Siegfried's face at 0:10 of the story trailer (Andromeda's style)
  • I do not like the new porcelain's faces of Sophitia and X
  • I disliked JG and BE, and they seems to be (partially) back

I really hope a nice surprise by October.

And...yeah, didn't have Talim so I'm bit gloomy.

All secondary to how the frame data will look... ;)

Kayane isn’t there, but there are a few other notable players attending

12 stages on the selection screen are far too few.
They could use the Duomo di Sirio stage from Tekken 7. It's a perfect stage for SoulCalibur

Right but...they could make balance patch and correct frame data after release, and will certainly do if sales are good. But even as a fan, I'm not hyped after E3, so I'm a bit worried about succes with casual.

There's no going back to the glory days of SoulCalibur I and Tekken Tag golden era, where people were genuinely hyped and every day felt special. Unfortunately, our culture has been seriously debased since then by the triangle posse's use of weaponized anthropology. There's too many people like Yoshimitsu now wanting to steal your soul, and people are suffering more so now than ever before. Self-importance is at an all-time high; empathy at an all time low. Therefore, people have too many worries about survival and are no longer in touch with their emotions to the extent where they are free enough to enjoy SCVI as intended, hence all the hate speech that manifested in response to the first E3 stream.

Low number of stages: is it possible when the actual game comes out we'll be able to unlock more? Could the stage select screen not show all the slots in game...?

Going back to this:

Looks like it's Rock between Groh & Ivy. Who else can it be? It clearly looks like a four letter name. Only other possibility is Groh's father.
