Setsuka is like my second favorite character and Hilde the third lol. (Sophitia being my first favorite character). They're classy, serious and have a great fighting style. I like Mi-Na too. I think people prefer her over Setsuka and Hilde it's because of nostalgia and especially her being present since soul Edge.
 
You guys are kidding yourselves if you think Talim or Amy are legitimately the most popular SC characters. If there was a poll with zero tampering as well as no chance for roster favoritism (voting for people you want in the next game, not your personal favorite), I could only see Taki, Ivy, Nightmare, Siegfried, Cervantes, Kilik, Sophitia, or maybe Cassandra at the top. Nobody else is as iconic or popular as those characters.

Because she is Heart and Soul Girl, This feeling it's the same thing as Xianghua (SC I), Talim (SC II), Amy (SC III) or even Leixia tried to be in SC V...
Clone status, weak plot relevancy, no matter how the years pass, she will always be my first and only character and the best thing in my life was playing Soul Edge/Soul Blade in my childhood. :sc4min1:

What nostalgia?Back in days almost no one played this character.Maybe only OFFMATIC in SC3 and InsaneKnet in SC4.Don't get me wrong.I want all characters to make it but if I had to choose between these three I will send Seong Mi-na in dumpster.

Honestly, my sister is a huge fan of her. I am not. I do not hate her, but I love Hilde; and Setsuka is an interesting character.

Bah the game needs a legitimate polearm user more then it needs some weird lance and dagger dual wielder. Kilik uses a staff and is not even close to a polearm. We just need to differentiate their moves more and bam Mina is a super awesome character that allows for a large number of weapons to be represented in weapon skins.

Depends, Cassandra and Amy are really popular in the world, but Hilde and Mi-Na attracts much more Asian audiences, this is why they appear in Lost Swords, but Setsuka is more popular in the Western.
Another example is that most of you prefer Raphael (Noble), but he only became popular in Asia after becoming a vampire.

Soul and Heart Girl is her nickname. I put it to illustrate that she was the formerly "little girl" from series, currently occupied by Talim & Amy, Leixia. When you're a 6-year-old girl you think that which character would identify: Sophitia, Taki, Mi-Na? For me is Mi-Na, she is young, determined, I loved when she won the match and began to jump. she was the one that most resembles me, so this why I like her.

That roster is solid but I am missing: Setsuka, Hilde, Amy and Cassandra to be the perfect roster.

I find it fascinating that even with the very original games there's a massive divide in the community over which are the better designs when it comes to characters that play similar to each other. Considering I started with the first game in the series back in the day I simply prefer those designs over their replacements. If a sequel came along and picked the originals over their spiritial successors I would be dancing like a motherfucker. I was already invested in it's world and it's characters long before the series became big so I know all to well what it's like to be burned by missing mains (Li Long).

We really need another row of character slots so everyone is happy. Ideally there should be nine extra character slots for pretty much the full package when it comes to unique characters but I don't see that happening, but perhaps if the game is a massive success then it could be a reality, much like how Tekken 7 is getting a season 2 pack.

This game deserves to be a success specially after what happened with SCV.

We are getting what we fans asked for so we must spread the word once it is released cause it will be out in a month full of great games.

We users have the power to make it last so we get enough seasons which translates in a complete roster to make everyone happy.

To me it looks far better than Tekken 7 already in every sense.

You guys noticing the trend of characters reveal as of late? meaning that they'll catch you off guard characters such as yoshi out of left field. Then 2 weeks ago talim and now from no where voldo. At this point it isn't to far fetched if they would just drop setsuka/raphael out of the blue. so their definitely playing the surprise factor hard here. everybody whos a favorite/popular character still has a chance. I see that indeed there saving the meat and potatoes for last,soup 1st...lol
