Soulcalibur VI General Roster Speculation Thread

SoulCalibur VI: which 3 characters do you most hope for?

  • A brand new character

  • Amy

  • Cassandra

  • Hilde

  • Hwang/Yunsung and/or Lizardman

  • Rock

  • Setsuka

  • Viola

  • Z.W.E.I.

  • Other: Abyss, Algol, Dampierre, Elysium, Leixia, Li Long, Patroklos, etc.

I think Setsuka, Hilde, and Amyiola are the perfect pack of characters for DLC, alongside a guest char, my preference being 2B, but who knows what wacky shit Namco could have in store. I mean, they added Geralt to SC (which is god damned a perfect choice) and Negan to Tekken (which is a much more confusing choice, but still good).

Also, full disclosure, Amyiola is trash and people who play her are the scum of the earth, but they’re degenerates who will pony up those neet bucks for the DLC/season pass, so I’m not going to really complain.

I will oppose any and all suggestions for 2B anytime i see it.

Personally, i dont know why Tekken didnt go for Tifa instead of Noctis. She seems a more appropriate choice. They could have used an interesting materia loadout change mechanic for her. So for example she would get some different specials depending on what loadout she has equiped. So it works almost like a stance change.

Then i would have preferred Noctis over 2B in this game if i have to choose.
But if we are talking Square characters for this game, Yuffie gets my vote.

Wow Ehrgeiz, that is quite a throwback right there. Never did play that myself and i doubt Square would consider this since they are getting at least some success with Dissidia.

This is apparently the season of digging up old games though so who knows. I tell you what though Soulcalibur might be in trouble if Capcom decides to dig this back up.

 
I think that series started off as a Star Wars adaptation.

Likewise I’m sure Asuka in Tekken was based off a character from another one of Capcom’s dead series.

I kind of want a Fire Emblem x Soul Calibur (w/ Link and a Tales character as guests)

Because the Tekken team wanted to hook more young players into the game and only old muhfuckas give a shit about Tifa.
 
They’re also likely to save her for the FFVII remake along with anyone else. She in particular seems concerning because of her chest and the SJWs.

Well... i mean i guess but not really because i dont think they would bother with the remake if that were the case. Maybe so for every other FF but i think 7 characters are kinda different.

SJWs will always be around and vocal but i dont see that influencing Square much to change Tifa. Mainly because they dont really pour-on the sexy content to begin with. They got two other females, both of which are not particularly sexualized. So i think they dont care.

The Collector's Edition has the season pass only if you're in Europe, because Europe doesn't get the art book. If you're in America, then the Deluxe Edition has the season pass, but you won't get the Sophitia statue or the art book, because those things are only in the Collector's Edition. But this tweet says that Tira is both pre-order any edition and season pass bonus, so if you pre-order the Collector's Edition, you'll still get Tira, but you'd then have to buy the season pass as well unless you're in Europe:

New wizard from India confirmed, all we need is his name and artwork. And also, I highly doubt this is Grøh's dad seeing as how he's Indian and Grøh is pasty white and there's nothing to indicate they're related.
 
Let's say, for the sake of argument, that he's not Grøh's dad. That means then that there are three new male characters and zero new female characters? I can't see that being true. This has to be Grøh's dad. Maybe his mother was Norse.
