Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

The races are definitely a great addition. Even the only slightly different ones are very welcome since one problem with SCV is that if you wanted a CaS with elf ears or wings or horns they would break off with armour breaks (which kind of ruins an elf character, if their ears fall off when hit). I imagine their inclusion as separate races is specifically to address that little annoyance.

This game has come very close to crossing that line for me many times honestly. Tira being a preorder bonus for the SP (back when we thought that was the case) did it for be until Bamco clarified it for the 5th time.
 
About that version of the forest where Kilik is fighting a disciple...

I wonder if there’s a way to access the stage variations... Maybe the Money Pit may be a clone stage? Voldo’s got to fight somewhere...

Naw guy..he did. He even went as far as saying "if youre concerned about Cassandra making it in to the game, dont be"
She was listed in his original leak roster. Not my fault if u didnt see it.

This is certainly not a problem exclusive to Soulcalibur, but it's still unfortunate to see such restrictions. Even if we can only speculate so far about the gender options.

I might have missed something, but some races are genderlocked?
 
I can easily see how they could have made Lizardman into a CaS-only style in favor of bringing back a female character. How long has it been since we got a female character reveal? Cassandra is more likely than Setsuka imo, if you take the direction of the game into account. And seeing that Mi-na was stripped of all tomboyish personality features so far and made more feminine in her behaviour, Cassandra would fill in that gap.

He's not wrong though. He never said she was going to be playable just that she would at least be in. If she appears in Sophitia's soul chronicle (or a different character's) then she is still in the game even if she isn't playable.

Street fighter v had characters in the story that wasn't playable and some still not playable. I remember Alex being in a background of a stage and later became playable via dlc or in game currency. Like I said before it really seems like they were hiding something by not letting people try out cas mode. Maybe Liz isn't a main cast but a bonus within cas with a few exclusive moveset. I wonder if someone tried opening the cas in the character select. Also they wouldn't let people try out training either even though it's just training. Might just be in my head and I need to stop before being disappointed.
