also can you land 33bA~RCB off 4[A+B] cause i cant land it. maybe the timing is tight or something.

2 other things:
what is the best combo off 3B, at the moment im going 3B ~ ROBB ~ ????? i dont know how to end it. i tend to RCB just for the ground hit.
and back dash RE to RCB~LIB is godlike punish for the spamers
 
26 hours with Maxi im Bord.. its to simple. only thing im learning is his new flow, strings, chains.
I feel like a spammer over using ["Wing Sobat"SC2 style], CE whiff Punishing[LMAO],
Lethal Hit RC K.. best damage follow up: 9A+B or 236 k or [chase with 6B+KG Rc B or 236 B]

he has good frame on Old Garbo Moves:
4[A+B] damage is horrible on it but it has the guard break :)
-66B G
-6B+K
-Lo K is tech trap

his CH properties suck:
-3A no stun
-236 B no knockdown or push back.
-6B+K G doesn't give stun on CH???
LI kk has no mixup variations??? lololl

Ill say this RE makes me feel like this is not a tour game.. just a entertaining New Fan Friendly game.
RE throw Character balance out the WINDOW.
Best Characters in SC6: Geralt, Ivy, Night, Asth, Cerv, Zasa maybe Raph.. then give then RE, CE, SCB tools lololmao. Yoshi's Frames are ridiculous
The Grind on getting in on Range characters is GROSS now that they have access to SCB, CE-Whiff punish & RE....... its BROKEN.

NEED stance "Canyon Carve" back and PsL3.

WTF did the do to LI K? (Its very painful to agree with dustbuster)

Has some serious soul charge fun though.

Desperately need a practice mode, online is laggy garbage. SC4 type garbage
 
What does everyone else think of SC6: Maxi
- [BL B] [Rc A A] are the TOOLS
- [WL B, B] [33B~Ag] [236B] are the [Chase Tools]
- 66A+B Control Tool
- Lo K is the Tech Trap
- 6BBB is the safest Lethal Hit follow damage [66B+K] [236 K] [6A+B] [44B Rc B reset]
- Currently 4[A+B] is ridiculously Good against RE.

I FEEL LIKE A SPAMMER Playing This Sc6:MAXI[BASIC]. WHIFF PUNISH CE wow..LMAO. Stance transitions are so [BASIC].

He looks SUPER stylish but NEEDs both: stance "Canyon Carve" back and PsL3 for creativity.
@Hot Rod Dave: WR A is trash.... without PsL3. but kinda its ok if you know what your doing.. it has no stun or CH properties..lolol

To me SC6:Maxi is 68% complete Movelist-Wise.
Do I Like this version of Maxi Yes because its New.. that's it.

And SCB[Pushback] on IVY is Bull Shit.

Network Test Manual says SC6:Maxi is [EXPERT] Difficulty. True but Funny ..Mashing for 20 years plus..lololmao

-A Very Simple FIX is to turn "A+B" into an Input Command for "Canyon Carve" making it function the same way "Wavering Lights" works.
So that during any stance you can input ["A+B" Canyon Carve]. Fixes all my issues with SC6 Maxi .. "Movement-Pressure-Chase"
With that [Option] Canyon Carve guard into Ro is still possible.
- Ro>BL>LI>LO>RC all with ["A+B" Canyon Carve] [Option]

I hope someone at Namco Figured this out.

I think his WS game is still pretty good. He lost godlike WS B+K that u could just throw out randomly for big damage, but he still has godlike 6a+b and cr 3a+b.

I didnt get to play as much as I would have liked, but overall my impression was good. He has most of the tools that made him really solid in 5, but with all the fun tools he had in 4. His stance game seems to be more rewarding than it was in 5, but you can still play really basic and solid with things like 6a+b and 1b. I think he has all the tools you will need to compete.
 
My thoughts from what i played are similar to you guys really i know this is a wall of text but i think there is some good info here is you have a min to read lol.

There are moves that seem to be good and some that seem really bad. He definitely feels more imposing than 4 but probably not as much fun.

MOVES:
  • 1KA~LO is really nice and surprising useful (because 1K has multiple outs you can catch people pretty well)
  • 1B~ROK has some great distance but obviously is a high, that said the frames on ROK are great. for anyone one not familiar they are gonna get caught out.
  • 4B~LOBK is as always great especially with the stop to 4B~LOB~RCK or 4B~LOK can catch and stun which i believe (cant confirm as i fluffed it every time) 6[B+K] should combo (I kept auto piloting to 6A+B)
  • 6A+B is same old go to punisher really good TC but it doesn't feel overly safe on block) it feels like it needs more range to me but SC version is goodly
  • Standard B seems like a really good entrance tool. B~ROAK_ROA[K]_ROK_ROB really nice way to RO, its not as fast as 6A but its a mid vert and feels more useful than in other games (although i still go back to 4A)
  • 3B hits OTG and should continue well after w! however i haven't had a chance to really practice wall splats but i know you cant 4B off wall very well (requires high splat) because i kept going to SCIV 4B followups. If i have to guess I'm gonna say some of the best w! you are gonna get are ROK, BLKK 6B+K_6[B+K], RCK. I'll do some wall work once i get my hands on the real game, but the fact 6B+K lifts and i hope splats like in SCIV:BD there is big potential. (i have seen a combo ill note out from Yin that is w! and impressive af)
  • 33bA~RCK is a good way in, 33B~BLKK is soild, CH33B~BL~PSL2??~ROK is pretty tasty. (im assuming that PSL1 will be 6 in stance and PSL2 will be 4 in stance)
  • 44B~RC is great, offers lethal hit vs highs, hits grounded. great TC and for some reason w! with wall behind () also note that RCB~LIB is gonna be a staple ender off a lot of combos i think.
  • one of my favorite things is to mix up 4B~LOA as this can go LOAK or LOA FC3AAA_3A+B or LOA to throw attempt, note if you get the trow a lot of the time you will get the side throw to BL where BLB or BLK will net you damage and wakeup options.
  • I didn't really find much use for B+K;B;B;B;A im sure it will be nice but i didn't really use it much, also i don't like his A+B (except after GI to stop reGI) and i haven't got to grips with 66A+B_66A+B{B} yet but im sure there will be some good use in there
  • Personally i like his SC more than his CE i can see his punish CE is great but SC opens up so much and just one SC 6A+B~LIB is as much damage as a CE and you have access to some great moves in SC
  • SC WRB+K~BLKK is great. in fact all his SC moves are great (except maybe 236A which works in a pinch but feels very unsafe)

Here is a few combo i was using obviously no numbers or labbing yet but really rough ideas. note some of this might be wrong as it was online and hard to tell what is true or possible (don't know about AC or what stun or if the opponent was trying to block or poke etc)


COMBOS:

CH B:
ROAK spin stun
ROBB~RC NO KNOCKDOWN???
SC ROAA+B~BLKK 44B~RC ends in stance (also 44K is not combo but leads to good wake up frames and is force block +frames i think see partywolf clip below)


3B:
ROA~BLB~RCB~LI best damage and leaves you in LI on wake up (LIKA seems to have good frames, to old ROKA)
ROAK (slight delay) ends in netural might be able to 2B+KB
ROA~BLKK seems iffy
ROBB~RC leaves you in RC i think RCK will tech trap not sure though

4A+B_4[A+B]:
66B+K i tended to this
33bA I CANNOT GET THIS TO LAND AND IT POTENTIALLY DOESN'T. NEEDS CHECKING OFFLINE IN LAB
44B~RC ends in stance
33B~BL ends in stance

FC3A+B:
BLB~RC (RCB???)

LIKK:
6A+B

CH LOK:
6B+K_6[B+K] posible to CE follow up (see Yin combo below)

One of the most impressive combos i have seen was Yins i think i have broken it down correctly its a half life combo needs wall behind (second clip)
CH 22_88A(no stance) 6[B+K]~[CE]~ROK~w!~4B~LOB~RCAA~LIB~w!


the other combo he has here (first clip) is
CH 22_88A(no stance) 6[B+K]~[CE]~ROK~2B+KB looks to be about 40% life for a CE and style points :P

There is a lot more to check and some serious lab work gonna be involved getting things to a point where i am happy, i need frames and a lab lol oh and a metric shit tonne of hours to spare........

I feel stupid for not knowing about fc3a+b. Did it accident once. Thought it was 6a+b. Blammed the controller.

Good to see you back around uberleet. You were always one of my favorites.
 
This Maxi can definitely scrap. I had a 27 win streak on my brother's account just by watching some of IRM/Bibulus/Saitoh's tourney vids and implementing his strats. Nothing more fun than baiting the other player during their last 1/4-1/3 health with a taunt followed by a speedy and well-ranged 6A+B~LI B to seal the round.

Anybody have trouble with 66A+B [ B ] confirming? A lot of times the uncharged version of B would occur despite holding the button. Another issue was 22_88A not always entering LI stance. Solutions?
 
22_88 A only goes into stance one way. And depends on what side your on.

Example: from 1p side only 22A will stance. 88A will not. Vice versa for 2p side

PsL1 and PsL2 have to do with stance transitions right...

Psl 1 & psl 2 yes are stance transitions that move forward and back respectively.

Psl 3 was also a stance transition where maxi stands still and shifts from RO to LO. In sc4 psl 3 had GI properties that GI horizantals.

Its utility was the art of confusion. For examble everyone is familiar with 4B LOBK. However it was possible to 4B psl3 RO to switch it up. This keeps the opponent on his toes and makes your maxi less predictable. Being that psl3 has gone away since sc5 (namco claiming it was to hard to balance iirc) maxi was given buffs to his psl loops in exchange. Psl3 was really fun to play with and one of my favorites.

There is also psl 4 & psl 5 as well where maxi steps left and right while in stance transitions. I forgot to check if they are in sc6. They were seldom useful anyway.

In sc2 you could psl4 and hold and maxi would continually move around side stepping in a constant motion. Again...not that useful aside from looking hella fancy while doing it.
