Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Here's a topic. Have you ever occasionally met that one beginner who's got the basic attack/guard down but is randomly spewing out attacks left and right, and almost wins the match because he/she is so unpredictably unaware of anything? What if you could harness that arbitrary prowess and combine it with full awareness. Holy fuckers.

Happy soul year!

This is what Pro players do; they change up their move set to keep the opponent guessing

When are we getting more stages? There's a real shortage of stages in this game

I agree that the stage selection (and the artistic design on some of the stages that have been released) is a bit underwhelming, but it could be a while. Namco never comitted to adding any new stages in the DLC and they aren't likely to be chomping at the bit to generate additional content. It's clear that they've adopted a policy of guest characters getting their own stages, but (as with most games in the franchise) the other individual levels are not tied to one specific character, but rather a selection of characters (Kunpaektu Shrine, which has some thematic relation to Astaroth and Lizardman, should he be included) or no one in particular (Sunken Desert Ruins), so it's unlikely any new stages will be released contemporaneously with any DLC character. However, there has been indications that some content (probably mostly incidental CaS items, but who knows) will be released with regular patches, so there's a chance, however outside, that a free map will be included at some point. Normally I would say this was unlikely, but we've all noticed that the map selection was left in an unbalanced state in the last patch, following 2B's stage being included a few days earlier (or was it the other way around?) This could be explained as simply something that didn't get caught and which is likely to be patched soon or alternatively as an indication that a second guest character map is on the horizon with season two. The former seems unlikely but plausible, while the latter seems like it is too far off on the horizon to be a realistic explanation. So I'd say there's some chance we'll see a bonus level added for all players in the coming months, but it's a best guess based on some vague and kind of self-conflicting evidence.

The stages are certainly a step down from SCV. I really enjoy 2B's stage merely for the fact it actually feels alive... and it is filled with only robots.

Has anyone come up with a semi-decent tier list yet? I haven't been playing very much so I'm curious.
The day a reliable tier list shows up will be the day where every fighter will be balanced to the point balance patches will no longer be necessary.

But, in all seriousness, not at my knowledge. Especially with the second half of that balance patch coming some time this month.
