Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I would have loved if Sieggy had gotten the 2nd costume from the left. Definitely alludes to his amazing SC3 2p costume, at least to me. :)

Edit: does anyone think the 3rd costume's vest and cloak looks almost like Raphael's costume in SC6?

I'm probably alone with this opinion but I feel like Siegfried's design for SC6 is the weakest he's ever had, even these alts are weaker than the one we got in game.

I can understand your sentiments, Sytus. I feel like SC6 generally hasn't been Siegfried's best look... I still maintain my appreciation for the 2nd alt in the concept art, but I can see how all of them still feel a touch off. I think it's the cookie cutter effect of how basically only the core of the costume changes; it's not like the whole theme of his costume is changing in these alts. They have no soul (pun both intended and not).

SC6 Siegfried's final design has that weird exposed armpit which is weird that they didn't even give him chainmail underneath or something.

He's also extremely bottom heavy in his silhouette (because he shares exactly the same bottom half as Nightmare, but doesn't have Nightmare's massive monster arm and helm to balance it out).

The 2nd from the left is the most knightly and would have been a nice alt.

Yeah, i agree! Siegfried SC6 design is his weakest one-- that's actually one of the reasons why i created custom outfits for him.
and looking at the concept art, it didn't really change my sentiments.
these are my interpretations of Siegfried -

I really like the second outfit- it looks like a mixture of his SC1 and SC2 outfit. also, do people consider SCIII a soft reboot? a lot of the designs/stages /music was from SC1.
I think SC3 might have been considered an anniversary game of some kind? It was released in 2005 which may have been souledges 10th anniversary. Couple that with extreme fan service and offline content (including souledge style input endings) it seems like that game was almost a celebration of the series.

You know what, i think you're right! SCIII definitely felt like a anniversary type game- which is probably why it's one of my all time favorite SC game.

The thing I hate the most is waiting DLCs to have every characters, but at the same time I'am glad that they DLCs get a good quality care with rich chronicle etc... but man where are this days were we were buying the game and playing all the char at the same time for about a year or two

If only COVID wasn't a thing, I can't imagine how would be hype at WTfinals reveal. That's why I think you can't really support game for years with DLC without a good amount of hype events around.
