Soul Calibur 6 CaS Discussion

Broken Destiny had voices from SoulCalibur III? I didn't know that, didn't last long enough to finish that game.

I only saw the image, not the video of the Sorceress, do you have that handy? I would LOVE it if Michelle Ruff returned, as she's one of my favorite voice actresses of all time. She was sorely missed in SoulCalibur V.
Listening to it again, I'm a little less sure that it's her, actually. However, it's definitely not any of the VAs that provided the voices of CaS characters in SC5, so that could be an indication of new voices.

I can definitely hear Michelle Ruff in there, but it may be a sound-alike, since this is more deeper/serious than she normally is. Some of the inflection is there, but it's not certain. Likewise, I often confuse Alexis Tipton for Laura Bailey. This definitely isn't the shouty screamy Kamikirimusi version of Michelle Ruff, but that doesn't mean that wouldn't be how the CaS voice would be, if they simply reused it. Michelle Ruff did voice Xianglian in SoulCalibur IV, has there been any clips of Kilik's story with Xianglian where they didn't skip the dialogue?

I now know for a fact character edit is a thing since i saw a screen image of the option but that was it. Do we still know nothing else at the moment? I am curious how Soul Charges are affected.

It will probably, most likely, just do the same as it would for any other CaS. No specific hair or equipment breaking effects, possibly even being able to choose an alternative aura, like using the Holy aura on Nightmare or the Evil aura on Xianghua.

I'm sure that non-Nightmares can use Siegfried's armor and recolor it to use "Nightmare's armor", but it's also possible that Nightmare's arm might be available in a specific Nightmare's armor part, similar to Pyrrha Omega's arm, where it was built in to her upper body equipment. This was also going to be the case for Nightmare's DLC armor in SoulCalibur V that never got released.

It does seem quite strange that they've avoided unisex hairstyles, despite forgoing such restrictions for much of the other equipment.

Also, slight aside, but did you guys know that the Darksider and Malefic race faces first showed up in Broken Destiny?

It's been said that BD was briefly planned to have a console release. I wonder if they've got more detailed models of any other BD-exclusive stuff.

Seems a bit dissapointing that women can’t have long ponytails or long, wavy hair but men can with Rugi’s and Azwel’s hairstyles.
Seong Mi-na's hair is a pretty long braided ponytail, though, and there's always the possibility that there's some newer styles, since there was already the one new unknown female hair style, the one that the Taki-user was using in the IGN video that leaked Cervantes's style.

That new style was Hilde’s or Cassie’s. The other new short hair for women is actually Mi-Na after her upper break where the braid comes off.

I was going to post this in the roster speculation thread, but I feel like it's probably better here, I figured I'd post a compilation of all the known weapons thus far, either seen in footage or from the museum screenshots from the modes trailer. If I've missed any, or you have any to add, feel free to post and I'll add it to the list.

Things we found out in the stream-

Malfested can change the colours of their scars:

More teasing we might get more than one item per layer, look at the Groh costume, looks like he is weaing Raphael vest under Maxi's Jacket:

The Raphael vest is most likely undergarments, while the Maxi jacket would be upper body covering, so I wouldn't say that's anything new.

How does that even make sense? The vest is just Raphael vest and he has a frilly shirt underneath it.
Well it's kinda hard to tell if it's the outer later or the inner layer, but my reasoning was that Raphael with his armor broken still is wearing the vest, albeit backless, is why I said it was undergarments. It could still be the upper body inner layer, like @PSY said, we had three layers already.
